NT break probably had something to do with it. Not sure about Fati, but Coutinho played both games. It's not a bad idea to try and get Dembele back in rhythm as Fati is still young. But it was real clear how off Dembele was.

FDJ is showing signs , Coutinho has really impressed thus far ..

Last night Pedri looked good and Puig looked decent when he came on ..

Unfortunately, we can’t play the same XI each match and Koeman went with pretty much the same XI for the first 3, so was time for some changes ahead 3 CL matches + LPB in a 15-day span. But I have to question starting the useless Griezmann who just had an intense schedule with France. Why? Was Koeman playing a hunch since he scored for France?

Why ignore all my other posts but highlight this ONE !!!!?

Further more what’s wrong with highlighting our obvious inaccuracies ?

You do realise there’s only about 6 people even bothering to post in here .. do you really want to force another one out ??

A little dramatic. I asked you not to post random unrelated spoilers, not to not post at all. Especially as we are entering CL season. What you are doing could cause even fewer people to post in the PBP threads.

    That was MY point.

Why comment on it at all ..

It’s supposed to be a place to chill out , swap ideas and opinions yet many just criticise or find fault ..

Your point was a non sequitur since nobody is asking you to not post here.

OTOH, if people want to watch, say, PSG v Man Utd on Tuesday they may avoid the Barca PBP thread since you could spoil the result at any moment. So, yes, it leads to even fewer people posting in here. That's obvious.

err... so maybe you could stop doing it? That's why we have the other teams thread.

I don't want to see Dembele on the pitch anymore for this team. I would honestly trade him for $30 million if there are takers.

Coutinho and Fati have earned their place based on their performances. If Koeman keeps experimenting we'll be dropping a lot of points. In La Liga, every match counts because we aren't that invincible team anymore. We need to play our best lineup every match. CL is honestly secondary for this team because we aren't serious contenders for it.

Talk of clutching straws: Posting result of Milan derby in the wrong thread == "swapping ideas"

Who are the contenders then, if not Barca?

I was simply ( as already explained ) highlighting our attacking inadequacies after another inept performance.

    Seems perfectly reasonable tbh

As a mod I have to side with @BocaFan here, @TitoTata. The only spoilers in the PBP should be of the match being discussed.

Frankly, it's also a nonsequitur/red herring argument to say, "Look! A player in a completely different league scored 2 goals today! If only we had him today..." Just another reason not to reference other matches in a PBP thread.

thank you. i was just about to watch the Milan derby and thought it would be safe to read about the barca-getafe game without that unrelated match being spoiled.

    pretty basic forum etiquette.

The other guy did mention the ‘spoiler’ aspect of my post earlier on but I was too pizzed off to acknowledge it at the time .

I will try and remember not to include possible spoilers in the future.

I will admit to occasionally dropping Ibra into conversations as it was one of the saddest days I can recall when we sold Ibra ..

The only time we have referenced non-Barcelona matches in a pbp match thread is when another match is being played simultaneous to Barca's and the result of the other match has an impact on Barcelona in the standings.
    Examples:
    - Matchday 6 of the group stage of the Champions League with first place in the group at stake.
    - The final day of the Liga season when every match is played at the same time and the title is still up for grabs.

Let's see how predictable this is .... I haven't seen Milan derby (didn't even know it was on) nor the spoiler comment that was made (ignore), but I am going to take a wild guess it has something to do with Zlatan.

i thought Pedri was possibly the best player on the pitch during the first half. i hope we see lots more of him.

Dembele's performance was very frustrating, but i'm willing to give him a little slack since he has been out for so long and looked very rusty. but he will need to do much much better. i hope we keep seeing him occasionally and he regains his confidence.

Griezmann is the one i'm loosing my patience with. especially after his public whining about his position. he should study the history of FCB and look at all the past greats who had to play out of their preferred positions and still managed to thrive; Villa, Henry, Yaya, Mascherano, Eto'o, Rivaldo, Stoitchkov ...

At this point I don't even recall what AG's favorite position is(?). Not like he's been great for France, are they also playing him out of position?
Good point about Mascherano though. His position was changed drastically when he moved to Barca. Griezmann complaining that he has been moved 10 feet from his ideal spot.

Good point. A lot of teams are struggling this season. Still I think we have close to zero chance.
