Apparently Montreal also has a shallow bench. It seems that Thierry Henry doesn't realize that you can use five subs. Since the MLS is Back Tournament ended he is averaging 2.33 subs per game and has yet to use more than 3 subs in a game. On the other hand, RBNY's sub strategy must be coming from the mothership. pic.twitter.com/LP5t4irZGx— Eliot McKinley (@etmckinley) October 12, 2020
There bench got worse Starting GK Clement Diop has gone back to France for personal reasons, but some are speculating someone in his family is suffering from Covid related reasons. I hope he gets back soon and everything is ok! I bet Montreal is wishing they didn't trade Evan Bush now... And just because we have 5 subs doesn't mean we have to use all god damn 5 of them. These guys should be used to playing 3 subs, this 5 sub crap is stupid. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...turns-france-personal-reasons-return-date-tbd
Andrew Tarbell gets the nod tonight for Columbus who's on a cold streak. Fatai Alashe also back in the lineup after being injured the past couple games. Nagbe should return soon too they've mentioned. https://matchcenter.mlssoccer.com/matchcenter/2020-10-14-fc-cincinnati-vs-columbus-crew-sc/lineup Adam Jahn also getting another start for Atlanta United.
How did Tarbell get the starting job at Columbus? What happened to the GK who took over after Steffan left — I forget who that was...
The rest of the league never does the Quakes any favors... RSL and Vancouver winning really keeps it tight. You would have thought both of them would lose, or some draws in there, but both winning? We NEED a win from one of the two games against Seattle. Winning this Sunday would be huge.
DeRo had a GOTY, IIRC (and I believe it was exactly where we played last night!) We were there for that one...
Funny you talk about this goal today.... because it happened on this day 15 years ago. #OnThisDay 15 years ago... ⚡"@dwaynederosario WITH A LIGHTNING BOLT!!!" pic.twitter.com/1WhFE5BDwe— Major League Soccer (@MLS) October 15, 2020
Yeah - that was back when working for the Quakes was fun (in fact, we weren't paid back then - we were all volunteers). A bunch of us on the field crew went to see that game in LA and had the perfect vantage point to see the greatness of that moment.
https://www.fm104.ie/news/sport/rob...b1rQKQT1_335Q-WCDG6cTMf1K71IEJMeEFLaxsnhs4XkI Looks like GBS is out and Robbie Keane is in for the Filth. I'm very happy to see that they will now have a coach that perfectly encapsulates the vileness of the club...
Dang if that's true I actually feel bad for Schelotto, he was good for this league as a player that's for sure. And in other news, 3 more Rapids games "postponed". That's going to be impossible to make up in time.
They should just disqualify Colorado from the 2020 season and balance the remainder of the schedule. This season gives us something to watch but historically speaking it should mean nothing.
Not so fast? More: Guillermo Barros Schelotto has NOT been fired / released / terminated as most of those reports around Robbie Keane are indicating. So not truth to that part of the story either. #LAGalaxy #MLS https://t.co/OHFOae8DeZ— Corner Of The Galaxy (@GalaxyPodcast) October 16, 2020
Tarbell is the backup keeper to Eloy Room who has been in and out in the past few months with different injuries. Room should return soon to his starting position.
I watched that game, it was crazy. Spurs score 3 in the first 15 minutes, West Ham 3 in the final 14 minutes. And that shot by Lanzini was awesome. And Gareth Bale could have put it away for Spurs shortly before that when he was able to nicely work his way into the box to only put his shot wide.
Tarbell is playing pretty well today for Columbus. Some good saves, vocal, and confident off his line. Complete opposite as to the way he was for us. He's benefitting from Tim Hanley as the Keepers Coach.
