Huge opportunity for him. He’s been hyped up by Bosnians and Besiktas fans lol. He has plenty of potential, definitely an exciting prospect.
https://www.telegraf.tv/sport/40103-cukin-gol-bivsi-omladinac-zvezde-smanjio-na-31 Milan Savić of U21 with a nice goal from outside the box against Zvezda. Him and Stefan Kovač both played on the youth team for Zvezda and then moved to Čukarički for first team football. Both seem to have transitioned well, excited about Savić as he is a winger.
Dedić played 87 minutes for Salzburg’s feeder team in the 2nd division. Ćatić came on firs his debut for ADO den Haag in the 56 minute. Ahmedhodžić started today for Malmo. Hasić starting today against Trabzonspor for Besiktas’ first match if the season.
Squad for qualifier against Germany Vladan Kovačević (Sarajevo), Martin Zlomislić (Široki Brijeg), Adnan Kanurić (SFK Sered, Slovačka) Besim Šerbečić (Sarajevo), Đorđe Milojević (Borac), Rijad Sadiku (Zrinjski), Adrian Leon Barišić (Osijek, Hrvatska), Amar Beganović (Sloboda), Jusuf Gazibegović (RB Salzburg, Austrija), Nihad Mujakić (Hajduk Split, Hrvatska), Selmir Pidro (Sarajevo), Amar Dedić (RB Salzburg, Austrija) Haris Hajdarević (Željezničar), Andrej Đokanović (Sarajevo), Vladan Danilović (Borac), Ševkija Resić (Novi Pazar, Srbija), Marijan Ćavar (Eintracht Frankfurt, Njemačka), Mateo Marić (Široki Brijeg), Đani Salčin (Sarajevo), Vladimir Bradonjić (Radnik), Ajdin Hasić (Besiktas JK, Turska), Milan Savić (Čukarički, Srbija) Jovo Lukić (Borac), Anes Mašić (Zrinjski), Ermedin Demirović (SC Freiburg, Njemačka).
So what I'm hearing is that Dedić, Hasić & Demirović are our biggest prospects, right? Good. I haven't been following the A-team's shenanigans after I got to experience their lifeless performance in Finland. Still mad bitter about it.
It depends how you define 'prospect' and what timescale you want to use, but these three guys are certainly high on the list. Depending on whom you speak to, the following players are also meant to be possible stars in the making: 1. Vladan Danilovic (Borac Banja Luka, CM, has been mentioned as going to Red Star, CD Nacional, Olympija Ljubljana). 2. Andrej Djokanovic (FK Sarajevo, CM). 3. Anel Ahmedhodzic (Malmo FF, CB). Personally, I would also expect the following to develop another gear over the next 2-3 seasons: A. Sinisa Sanincanin (Vojvodina, CB). B. Luka Menalo (GNK Dinamo Zagreb, SS). C. Stjepan Loncar (HNK Rijeka, LB/LM/DM/CM). Other players who can expect a significant transfer upgrade in the next 12-24 months are numerous and include Aldin Turkes (Lausanne), Elvir Koljic (Craiova), Hamza Catakovic (AS Trencin) and Stefan Kovac (Cukaricki). Additionally, new players will almost certainly emerge who are not mentioned above. The big challenges will be (a) optimally organising the existing talent; and (b) continuing to integrate players with multiple eligibility. Dino Hotic, Anel Ahmedhodzic and Dennis Hadzikadunic have all switched to BiH within in the last 12 months; Ivan Sunjic (Birmingham City) and maybe Ante Coric (AS Roma) are possible medium-term targets.
I would counts hasic and dedic as prospects since they are teenagers and just starting their pro careers. Definitely the best at the moment.
Not a bad first half considering we’re playing Germany but our midfield is nonexistent. It’s a shame Danilović isn’t with the team since he just transferred to the Portuguese league. I’d also try to sub in Salčin for Resić, and then have Salčin play CAM and Hasić RW.
Aleksandar Kahvić. Throwing this name out in the universe because this 16 year old is someone we can’t afford to lose. Goal scorer currently with Crvena Zvezda after moving to Belgrade from Doboj. Arrived and first game for their youth team he hits 8. He wasn’t called up to our latest U17 matches and I’m hoping it’s just because of his recent move. Misimović or someone needs to sit down with him and lay out a plan because the hype at Zvezda has all ready begun and it’ll be a matter of time before The Serbian FA gives him a call.
I have been doing some scouting and I found this kid playing for Braga U-23 in Portugal. Djordje Jovicic (only 18 but may be one for the future if he can develop) https://www.transfermarkt.us/djordje-jovicic/profil/spieler/618021
If we ignore him sure but if he is made a priority I don’t think so. Plus Bosnian Serbs from the middle of the country tend to differ from the ones on the East. I don’t think you should evaluate every Bosnian Serb the same way.
What Bosnian Serb who has gone to play at Zvezda has picked us over Serbia? Luka Jovic, Dejan Joveljic, Srdan Babic, Mihailo Ristic, and Zeljko Gavric (still eligible) have all picked to play for Serbia but all come from Bosnia. To make things worse all these players joined Zvezda when they were young apart from Babic.
Not a single one of those guys was capped by our youth teams and I doubt our savez pursued them. Kahvić has already been capped.
lmao @ these discussions. I always wonder how nice it must be for teams that never have to worry or argue over the ethnic composition of their sports teams. must be nice
one way to get your kid into the starting lineup Otac omladinca Željezničara prijetio treneru pištoljem, policija ga uhapsila
My point wasn’t that they were capped or not, its that they wanted to play for Serbia. And you can’t say the savez hasn’t tried with those players l, Risitic just did a interview saying he was all set to come to BiH to finalize some paperwork to play for us but Paunovic convinced him otherwise. He also went on to add that he would rather play for RS and Serbia lol
Okay, but when did the BiH federation try? That's the point. Ristic would have been under their radar for years before they twigged he even existed. These players should be tracked from the second they register as a youth player at their local club.
I know what your point was, I was making a counter point as to why things played out the way they did. Ristic furthers that point, he never played for Bosnia even when given a chance. Kahvic has under probably very similar circumstances, being called up right before a big move to Zvezda, accepted the U17 call up. The pressure at Zvezda is huge no doubt, it is a government run club afterall. Look, I understand it is almost always an uphill or losing battle and that is why a lot of you guys are pessimistic when it comes to this. I am just here to provide another angle to say there are things we can do that we are not doing. The Savez gets a free pass from mostly everyone here which blows my mind. Like @New Era mentioned, it is on them to track and bring these players into the fold and incorporate them into the national team. That is a huge starting point that we need to do consistently and then we might see some results.
How do we know they didn’t try with a few of these players? They tried with Ristic and he rejected us and I’m happy he did after his comments that he has come out since and said publicly.
