After those 2 pathetic headers, maybe the worse sequence of defending you'll ever see. He can be blamed for the first 4 goals. 80 million for this cart horse. The England backline is him alongside Gomez with Pickford in goal.

What's wrong with Joe Gomez. Very complete CB.

Anyone following Project Big Picture? Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like that come to Italy if that goes through

Only the worst sounding plan and changes, ever. This is Man United and Liverpool making sure they stay big, forever.

I’m hoping Man City and Chelsea end up standing against it since money isn’t really their primary focus unlike the American groups. But it’s super worrying for the sport as a whole.

Whats bad about it? Cutting the league to 18 and dumping worthless cups was what I skim read or is there more?

This video does a good job breaking everything down from good to bad. Would definitely suggest watching.

But basically United and Liverpool are using covid to change the power dynamic of the league. The lower leagues are at serious risk of going under, and United, Liverpool and potentially Tottenham, are talking behind closed doors of possibly doing a 350 million bail out. However in doing so, many structure changes would have to come.

The biggest one being how voting works. Instead of the entire league making decisions, only the 9 clubs who spent the most amount of time in the league would have special voting rights. And on top of that you’d only need 6 votes to get something passed. Which conveniently is just enough for United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, City, and Tottenham to have total control.

So the top 6 would be able to make decisions on everything from TV rights and how they are distributed, to even blocking potential buyers of other clubs. They also want to be allowed to individually sell a certain amount of their own games every season rather than doing league wide deals for everything.

So dig a quick bit of digging and apparently those top 6 held their own meeting to discuss Leicester winning the league and the top 6 money stream being broken up. So it looks like they are all willing to play the long game here. Lose out on some revenue now, looking like they are helping the little guys out while strengthening their position long term. This wouldn't only secure Liverpool and Man U sheno.

It reeks of La Liga inequality
Even if Arsenal are in that top 6 group, I'm against this. @La Magica

Well written post from another forum. Lot of truth here that money has ruined what the game is really about?

The sad fact is that money has spoilt the game. The days of clubs like Ipswich, Wolves, Burnley, Notts Forest etc having genuine chances to win the top division are long gone. Since the inception of the Premiership nearly 30 years ago there's been ONE exception to the rule and that was Leicester at 5000/1, the richest clubs have (and will) always win it.

In the past if you had a good youth system/scout system/manager etc etc there was always the hope you could compete at the top end, that's long gone, if you're not a fan of the top clubs you've no realistic chance of ever seeing your club win the league.

If you're 30 or younger you'll probably never have experienced ENGLISH football as it's best. Fast paced, terraces, home town heroes at the lesser clubs, a team full of British players, proper hard men. It's all long gone and will never come. I understand times move on but what we have today is a poor imitation of the way the game was and SHOULD be, it's wayyyyyyy too much in favour of the big clubs. Some would say it's always been the way, but there's something more normal about a club being big because of it's support and silverware and not by having the richest owner.

People have tried to fix something that wasn't broken, we had the most exciting and competitive league in the world, yes there was the big City bias naturally, but it was a lot fairer, now you might as well do away with 50 clubs and we may have to. Those clubs are supported by fans every bit as fanatical as any of the big city clubs, the fact that there are not as many of them is no excuse for their beloved clubs to go out of business.

People are greedy, rich people are the greediest and as I said at the start of the post, money has ruined the game.

Leicester has been the best title winning moment in, forever. Sure Man City had the crazy Aguero winning goal, but EVERYONE that wasn't top 4 that season was rooting for Leicester. It was amazing to see their fans celebrate it. This will make sure it doesn't happen again.

Florenzi with another goal. At least that hopefully means we make something off him after his loan.

Didnm you see the Mane offside call? This is where VAR needs to fvuk off.

We'll see how good Gomez is now his hand isn't being held.

Big nope lol, I didn't even watch Arsenal City today, got busy with something.

But TAA has had like 5+ obvious handballs that just don't get called....this was karma! [obviously I hate Liverpool lol]

Liverpool is not the same side without their 70 million GK and 70 million CB. All it takes is 2 players missing and they have real problems. Let them get a bunch of injuries like we do, and lets see how good they are.

Injury time winner for Henderson after Pickford flapped it hilariously into the net. Mane was called offside. Just watch it. Pickford must have his family running VAR.

Yep 2 alphas gone and you will have Liverpool of 5 years ago. Jose is going to win the league.
