Lol why so angry about this? They didn’t have to divulge anything at all.

to me the most interesting part was how far off the media was when reporting these numbers like they were facts.

Not angry, just think we should be more transparent. But it is better than other clubs who never reveal anything at all unless the CMVM asks them to because it looks shady.

As for the deals, it's true they were 'low-cost' I just hope we have options to buy more of Pedro Gonçalves down the road.

Doesn’t that chart show that Sporting has 100% of his pass but has to give up half of his transfer fee if sold?

100% of his "sports" rights but only 50% of his "financial" rights (if that makes sense)

This is the real ins and outs that was sent to the trade commission and includes agent fees and other details. What should have come in the club's newsletter for the supporters:

More on the Tabata transfer (thanks to Sporting 160 EN):

    • Sporting paid Portimonense €500K to own 10%
    • We had to pay in January €4.5 M if Tabata accrued a certain amount of minutes in European competitions (however we failed to qualify)
    • In January they now have the option to purchase 15% more of his pass for €2 M and 25% more for €2.5 M in June
    • Portimonense can still sell Tabata to another team if they receive an offer equal to or greater than €10 M.
    • In this scenario Sporting has two options:
    • 1. Accept the transfer and receive compensation correlating to the % of Tabata they own at the time
    • 2. Match the offer

According to Record, AC Milan are interested in Nuno Mendes.

I really hope we can keep this guy for an entire season at least. 2 seasons would be a blessing, but i guess that's the name of the game. If he did leave, i hope it's not to Milan. This kid has the potential to be a superstar. Absolute stud

Milan already have a solid LB they need a RB, I don't see it happening.

I can't see it happening either, but big European clubs will continue to chase him.

    Arsenal on the list now.

There's been rumours that we want to try and increase the release clause, but if not, I hope we demand 45M or nothing.

The January window is only 2 months away. A lot of big teams will be keeping eyes on Nuno Mendes.

Official: Palhinha signs a new contract until 2025 and a 60 million euro release clause. This should put an end to speculation he'll move to Russia at least for now.

Apparently Al Hilal is interested in Vietto and offered 7 million, but we want 11 million before letting him go. Just to recall, he cost 7.5M for 50% of his rights.

Dinamo Zagreb head coach confirmed they are trying to bring in Rafael Camacho. Likely will be a loan deal. Their transfer window closes later.

Apparnetly Misic is the one going to Dinamo Zagreb on loan and not Camacho.

So 11 players loaned. 9 not loaned and probably will play in the B team.

Sporting communicated today that they defend VAR but want to see progress made in its use, and they will push for the communication between VAR and referees to be made public, even as far as allowing spectators and viewers to listen to it "live" similar to what is done in other sports (i.e. NFL)

100% behind this, why shouldn't it be made public? It should clear up a lot of this "controversy" every time a call is made.

O Jogo says its a done deal, Vietto to Al Hilal for 8 million, half of which goes to atletico madrid. So 4 million for a player that cost us 7.5 million a year ago. The club wanted more, but he is the highest paid player and not a starter, hence the willingness to let him go. The player will also get a monster salary at his new club.

Another ruinous deal for us with atletico madrid, not like we haven't already learned our lesson before by dealing with them.

As for the player, he sometimes shows quality but most of the time has been pretty inconsistent. Still, he had the 2nd most assists last season after Bruno Fernandes. I have a feeling we're going to take a loss on most of the other signings made last year (Camacho, Ilori etc...)

Ah well, win some lose some. Certainly lost more than won when BdC was around. The signings this year seem to be more calculated, hopefully they work out.

    Joelson, Camacho, Tabata?
    ?
Vietto was never a good signing as he flopped hard at Atletico. I was bummed when we paid 8 million for him and I’m actually happy to see him go. Would’ve been better to do it in earlier in the market and get someone in his place.

Yes when you compare with the previous season... there is no comparison at least so far.

Honestly I'd take any deal. He's the highest paid player on the squad currently and we can free that space for a signing in January hopefully. Still need a striker and central defender IMO.
