Coady has been solid yet he drops him for slabhead. So many reasons to hate this team

 

I count 3 players out of position, 4 if you include Dier.

main issues for me are:

- Rice and Henderson - simply not needed if you have 3 at the back, why the f*** does Rice keep starting after not impressing.

- Mount on the wing - out of position when we have so many players in that position.. happy for him to play but should be instead of Rice.

- Trippier at left back - we will just be unbalanced

- Walker at CB.. he has shown he will make brain farts.

FFS, we have such a quality group of players but this is possibly one of the worst lineups that could’ve been put out

 

Yes if you'll going to play a back three, use players that play it at there club.

 

Why start walker at centreback when he has a player in coady who plays in a 3 every game

 

I struggle to see what mount offers that grealish or sancho don't. Both players are far better on the ball than mount. Southgate as usual afraid of the opposition.

 

Maybe Mounts playing in the middle behind DCL and Rashford?

 

Yet grealish played there and was phenomenal. I really worry about grealishs future under Southgate. I dont think he likes him

Back three without Coady .. the only one used to playing in a three , who played brilliantly the other night , who ORGANISED the defence the other night .. so he plays Dier instead of Coady !!

Pickford is a worry. I’d have kept with Coady rather than Walker. Shame there’s no proper left wing back. This is the kind of opposition we need to shut down against. Think TAA (one of the best crossers in the world) to DCL (brilliant in the air) will be the key. I think he’s playing Mount because he wants to counter with fast transitions, get the ball in the box to DCL before they can get set defensively and press them high.
