a move from CSL to serie a is always good, but he'll run the risk of not being match fit for NT if he isn't a consistent starter.

lazio were one of the best defenses in the league last season and they play with 3 CBs- acerbi (32), radu (33), and luiz felipe (23)

A reddit post which details the current situation with KMJ and Tott/Lazio.

TLDR: Tott's interest only truly manifested around mid-August. They hired a representative to talk to Beijing and Kim since then. Lazio sent in an offer and everything, but he wants to go to Tott if possible and didn't sign. Thus, Lazio's interest have cooled significantly and it looks like he may end up with Spurs.

Alasdair Gold (one of the main Tott reporters) said that KMJ would probably happen (if it does) later in the window, since they'd need to get funds/make room by selling players. However, there's been recent reports (last few days, and more just now) that Foyth might be sold with teams like Leeds or Valencia interested. If Foyth is moved, this will no doubt strengthen the possibility that KMJ comes in.

I suppose having Son as company is the main factor. Hoever, there's no better forge of defenders than Serie A. Whatever the club, KMJ must demand that the contract include a guarantee of X games if fit.

This tweet is quoting KBS, but Tott may be setting up a final offer to bring KMJ in the next few days. What complicates this is that recently (like a day or two ago) Tott and Mou were linked with Ruben Dias of Benefica as well, so who knows. They will most likely set up an incoming CB when they bring in a ST first, and the most recent target was Wout Weghorst (Wolfsburg) who is keen to join them. Obv will have to sell players like Foyth, Gazza as well.

Apparently Tottenham couldn't figure out how to unload one foreign player to accommodate the potential arrival of Kim Min-jae.

Unfortunate, but the transfer to Tottenham could still happen during the Jan window.

According to this source, PSV seems like a strong possibility. Esp since their current manager Roger Schmit was the guy who brought him into Beijing Guoan in the first place 2 seasons ago.
