Elis contract is over this December, Houston can’t do anything except offer a contract extension to him.
IDK how the Winter transfer window has been affected by this Virus, He might have to wait till the beginning of 2021 aka January. Also Boavista are reportedly interested in Elis.

Looking at the depth of players playing their trade abroad I think we're looking to be a few steps ahead of Costa Rica and Panama, particularly in the European stakes. I think Costa Rica in particular look like they're in a bit of a slump. Domestically I think their league is still quite a bit ahead of ours so I don't want to read to much into it but it's good to see us growing a base of players in Spain and Portugal.
Boavista is Finalizing a deal to Acquire Alberth Elis From Houston. He would join Jorge Benguche. I'm told Boavista is finalizing the acquisition of Alberth Elis from the Houston Dynamo. The Honduran standout is in the final year of his current deal and would be joining #USMNT defender Reggie Cannon at the Portuguese club.#MLS #HoldItDown— Ives Galarcep (@SoccerByIves) September 11, 2020 Thank god we wouldn’t have to wait till January for him to leave. For those who don’t know Boavista was bought by the owners of Lille OSC and have been investing money to build up their roster likely in hopes to help the club reach at least Braga level of success in the League/Euro competitions.
I hope this deal is true, it would be a great move for Elis and even better move from a NT perspective. They recently signed an American player from FC Dallas so that would suggest it's definitely a deal that could go through.
Great news and remember Rubio is yet to finalize a contract. The invasion of the Portuguese 1st Division in the space of a few years is impressive.
Josue Villafranca to be loaned out to a 4th division team in Spain, WTF is up Motagua they have this talented kid that they don't want to invest in they already blocked a loan deal to Zulia that would have been a big deal for him.
Luis Garrido signs with Marathon, I wish that Oscar Salas signs with them too since they need to get deeper for Concacaf League.
Manuel Alex Mejia has signed with a 3rd Division Spanish team from Girona B. https://www.diez.hn/legionarios/140...ros-lleida-esportiu-segunda-division-b-espana Potentially a good option for the U23.
With the Portuguese league now underway hopefully Rubio signs with a team sooner rather than later so he can solidify a spot in the team before the season is any further in. Still no news where he is heading?
Call up list for Friendly against Nicaragua https://www.diez.hn/laseleccion/141...duras-fabian-coito-amistoso-nicaragua-oficial
Sorry for the late reply, he has until October 5 to sign for a team and media in Portugal are linking him to Boavista and Porto.
More freedom on where to go, I’ve heard that he might be eligible for a European passport this month too so that opens a ton of doors for him.
