I dislike seeing footballers stay to loyal to what are essentially just corporations. The sentiment is not mutual and careers on the pitch don't last that long.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few clauses in that new contract like minimum release fee, relegation clause etc so I don’t necessarily see him being there that long tbh.

I don’t think that applies to Grealish and Villa tbh

Villa don’t seem anywhere near as fit as Sheff United tonight .. Jack for example seemed kinda heavy legged compared to normal

Cheerleaders for Kane, the England captain and top scorer for the past 5 years, on an England forum? I know you’re an Arsenal fan but give your head a wobble.

To be fair though, do Arsenal fans ever say anything positive about any Spurs players, no offence @thebigman but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it even when it comes to England.

Drives me mad when England Club fans call the Bundesliga a farmers league! It’s just disrespectful and embarrassing imo.

Well they did release him as a youngster and he scores loads against them so the bitterness may be stronger but there’s being partisan and there’s being daft.

I'm an Arsenal fan and have no problem praising Spurs players, I'm an England supporter first and foremost. I like Winks and Kane, dislike Alli for football reasons only.

I’ve said I rate winks in this thread ffs, I said Kane was class too but not as good as lewa or haaland

I will call out players I do t rate for any team, check my posts on the arsenal forum about our own players

this place is far too reactionary, let’s see what happens at Euro 21 and the rest of this season before we anoint Kane as the best forward in the game

I’ve never said that he’s the best forward in the game. He was the best 9 in the game in 2017 but he needs to play for a bigger club that wins trophies to be considered the best. I do think that he’d do similar numbers to Lewandowski on a more regular basis if he played for a club like Bayern.

Seems like another game where one team (City) look far more fitter and faster than the other team ..

Wolves haven’t turned up yet and we’re 40 minutes into the game ..

68% possession for City in the first half

Foden still Englands best bet for the playmaker role

He’s been ok but City are coasting ...
He took his goal well but I’d estimate that 70% of his passes have gone backwards and when he has been more adventurous his passes have been cut out on quite a few occasions

It will be interesting to see how many games he he gets when the squad is back to full strength though - B Silva and Torres will be pushing for sure

his pass led to the penalty an he got a goal. Couldn’t really have done much more...

if he does that every 2 games he’d be one of the best attackers in the league

I don’t understand the negativity. He got 90minutes , a goal and sort of an assist

Yeah, you could say he had a bit of an influence with some forward passes to be heavily involved for the first two goals. He was just fine imo and looked good when he came more inside for a time during that second half, good in the first half as well.

Yeah he did ok ... City were coasting though with nearly 70% possession and 700 passes ..

He’s doing well enough on the wing but I still think Foden offers far more centrally. More off the cuff creativity for sure.

couldn't see the game but overall Foden is still a bit shy with City. extremely gifted but doesn't see enough of the ball atm. Grealish is superior atm
