I know Dembele is lacking match fitness, but he’s not been good. His ball-control and decision-making has been below-par and is only relying on pure speed to create anything. Fati was much more of a threat and has more facets to his game.

This is Dembele’s last season to prove himself imo. Otherwise he’s gotta go too. He’s been given enough opportunities.

Probably want him on loan. If Puig is not on Koeman plan, then better go on loan to Laliga team. Plus bulk up more. Iniesta/Messi at 21 was way bigger than Puig now.

This clus is shameless, Puig pushed out on loan while players like Roberto who never ever had Barca potential are kept. What in the hell is he doing or saying to all the coaches? After seeing the game today I start to think the version of Koeman Barca has is the Valencia and Everton one. This nightmare seems never ending.

Disrespect to Roberto. Who know that Puig can be another Roberto. Even then tell me how many La Masia players reach Roberto level since 2012 (excluding Thiago)? Maybe Fati, Puig himself or Kubo (not Barca player anymore).

Roberto is the worst ever player out of La Masia! He's cost this club more than he ever would be able to contribute if he had ten lifetimes of footballing careers. Roberto wouldn't even fit in Espanyol B-team. (yeah yeah Semedo is shit too).

So other La Masia players are even worse than that lol. You hate Roberto and thought Semedo is better, only till Davies destroyed his career completely to show you that he is mediocre.

Worst player ever out of La Masia?

He's so legendary we use him on the title of our "Former Barca players" thread.

    Gai Assulin

    EDIT:
Check that...... I nominate Oleguer Presas.

I think I’ve made it very clear how much I like Puig and that, at least to me, he’s the player we have that most resembles Iniesta’s playing style imo, albeit with better acceleration/quicker. I would love to see him as a part of our midfield and have no doubt he has the talent to do so.

With that being said, I can see why Koeman might think he’s not ready yet. He’s way too light for top flight football, even by Barcelona’s typical diminutive midfielder’s standards. He’ll get bullied way too easily and doesn’t quite have that core body strength yet to be able to keep his balance and not get man-handled.

Messi and Iniesta aren’t physical specimens either but their physique is clearly more developed than Puig’s, which, combined with their lower centre of gravity and agility manage to get the better of their markers regardless.

He needs to bulk up a bit, and why not do that while getting some valuable first team action as well? Instead of relying on the odd cameo? That’s just imo.

I was never the biggest Roberto fan either, but there has to be a reason coaches keep choosing not to offload him or keep coming back to him. He’s a versatile player, albeit not great at anything in particular but apparently reliable enough to be of value to the squad according to every coach we’ve had ever since he became a first-team player.

It’s hard for me to hate on him cause he’s a genuine Barca-boy, came up through the ranks, loves this club with a passion and always leaves it all on the pitch.

He does tend to mess up at inopportune moments, but he also had some great moments we will never forget.

He's versatile in playing badly at every position leading to losses and knockouts in CL. He's a curse close to Bartomeus level. Look back at the games, Roberto has been instrumental in the defeats in CL past seasons. Just awful!

Oleguer omg yes he's among the worst too but he didn't stay long enough as Roberto to destroy games.

False . Roberto didn’t have major funk ups vs Roma nor Liverpool . Alba ended up being fuking up vs Liverpool . It’s fair to say Roberto didn’t help in those games , but the whole team was bad .

Dont know. Its quite weird if no one tell him to bulk up, seem like he does not want to bulk. He is like 56 kg. Honestly that is way way below average.

Iniesta/Messi at the same age was way bigger/stronger than Puig.

Semedo is going to Wolverhampton , seems like Bartomeu is doing everything in his power to make sure Roberto will still be our starting RB in the squad with no competition.

Send him to Bayern Munich. They will infuse drugs into him.

Even Coutinho has bulked up quite a bit.

the scapegoating of roberto is worse than roberto's actual defending.

fact is, Bartomeu has had four years since he dumped Dani Alves to find a first team quality RB yet we're still relying on a backup midfielder to cover up that hole in the squad. the way the club dumped Alves was a disgrace, and the way they have failed to replace him has been a disgrace.

Roberto has been doing his best to make up for the club's failures. he never wanted to be a RB to begin with. and we'd be in an even worse position if it wasn't for him. he doesn't need to blackmail anyone to get into the team as long as the club is as clueless as it has been. it's a shitty situation but the anger should be directed at the board, not the player.

COPE is reporting that on Thursday Toni Freixa will formally announce his candidacy to be Barca President.

    So who is Toni Freixa?
He was part of Joan Laporta's board after the victorious 2003 elections.
But he resigned from the board in 2005 in solidarity with Sandro Rosell.
When Rosell became President in 2010 Freixa was appointed spokesman for the Board.
He remained on Bartomeu's board after Rosell stepped down in 2014.
Freixa then ran for the Presidency in the 2015 elections but finished fourth behind Bartomeu, Laporta and Agusti Benedito.

That's enough we need to know about the guy but there's more.

In 2016 he left the company Indexsport to help co-found a company called Sport Social Market.
    Here's their facebook account. https://www.facebook.com/sportsocialmarketoficial/
Their website is no longer running.
SSM was intended to be a stock exchange with shares of football players, an idea Freixa allegedly stole from Indexsport which led to a criminal lawsuit..
The company became the subject of complaints from customers themselves who have described it as a pyramid scheme.
One customer sued SSM for fraud. On March 3, 2018 a judge ruled that the company had deceived the customer of the platform, described the company as a scam and ordered it to pay a fine and return the amount that the customer had paid to the fraudulent company.

Long story short: Toni Freixa has no business running for any position at any football club.

Dani Alves is available. Seriously, we can get him and it will be an upgrade on what we have.
