?

What should be top priority for the club this summer?

  1. Sign Camavinga

    33.3%
  2. Sell Bale/James (and other deadweight)

    40.9%
  3. Address backup RB

    1.5%
  4. Save the funds for next summer, go after Mbappe

    24.2%

We should start finding those replacements now

I think we have for multiple of those players. We've at least been giving auditions to players to see if they have the potential to be long term options in those positions.

The one that we haven't seem to have looked very hard with is Casemiro. He seems to be about the most irreplaceable member of our squad right now, at least for big games.

It would make all my whining the past half-decade during summers beautiful meaningless.

Great to see the most recent reports about Camavinga. Seems like his heart is set on Madrid which is amazing news for us.

I continue to become more and more intrigued by Håland. Love his attitude and tactical fit with our younger prospects.

For me, the Mbappe transfer all comes down to the player. He has seemed destined to play for RM for a long time but has clearly stagnated a bit at PSG and I have sensed a slight attitude shift. If he ultimately proves hungry for a bigger challenge and pushes for a move to us, Flo will make the transfer happen and he will be a great player for the club. But if he settles to stay at PSG and passes up on Madrid for a third time, I think that will be it and the train will have passed for him and Madrid.

Report from Portugal that Benfica were only offering Mariano 2.5 ME wages which is way below 4.5 ME he earns and hence he rejected the deal.

That's unfortunate but Benfica aren't Madrid, i guess he's another one who will just stay for the money without any real possibility of making a contribution playing, i guess money is more important than love of the game for some, seeing as he is not being offered peanuts to actually play elsewhere,

from my position it's hard to understand when i take into consideration the millions being offered, but i guess it's a different perspective for the players who are accustomed to dealing in these figures

It's a shame really, cuz he has delivered most of the times whenever called upon.

I don't mind him staying. He can still contribute to the team if Zidane uses him. I trust him more than Jovic.

Considering our recent net spend, sales from this summer and potential sales to raise further money next summer the a Mbappe + Camavinga swoop is doable for us.

But chances all three end up moving clubs next summer, and all three end up becoming almost untouchable after.

I want all three! Haaland and Mbappe together could be lethal for more than a decade to come.

Edit: Reading that the Haaland clause may not become active until 2022 anyway

Our investment of 160mln ( Hazard+ Jovic) looks really horrible...hope they regain form.

Unfortunately I think we would all agree with this now. We won La Liga without either player doing pretty much anything. Neither transfer helped us at all last season...

But hindsight is 20/20. Basically every poster here, including myself, was super excited about Hazard & Jovic joining the club last summer after a miserable season the year before. Let’s hope that both have better seasons this year and don’t hinder any future transfers.

    Brazilian media:

Marcelo has agreed to listen to the offers this summer, his attitude has changed compared to last season.

If a good offer comes in, he will investigate it.

I hope we don't make an early decision on Reguilon if Marcelo is leaving. Last summer Keylor left very late and we had already loaned out Lunin by then.

Just get Camavinga and kick out bale and say done for this transfer season ...

both Jovic and Mariano are fruit from the same tree, i feel Mariano at least show some positive on-field as to Jovic looks least motivated

Dude. Chill. Casemiro is just 28. Though many of us believe he needs a proper backup.

More like 190M. I believe we had to pay 30M bonus to Chelsea because we won the league, which takes Hazard's total to 130M.

No more option for a Reguilon Sevilla loan again.

At this point it seems we either sell Marcelo or Reguilon

    Manchester United won't pay €30M?

Then send Reguilon on loan elsewhere. Tired of of us giving out deals like we're Santa and it's Christmas

Kylian Mbappé serves notice to PSG on 2021 exit

Kylian Mbappé has informed Paris Saint-Germain that he intends to leave at the end of this season to further his career elsewhere. A vocal admirer of Liverpool’s play under Jürgen Klopp, the 21-year-old France international is understood to have targeted a move to either La Liga or the Premier League.

Mbappé was signed from AS Monaco in 2018 for around £165 million. His transfer fee remains the second highest ever paid for a footballer, and the highest for a teenager. The striker passed on lucrative offers from Real Madrid and Manchester City in order to continue his development in French football, signing a five-year contract with the Qatar-owned club.
