Yeah I forgot who it was but someone posted him on the forum. It’d be crazy if he ended up being good enough for the NT.
FK Sarajevo 2-0 GOSK Gabela. Their line-up included players like... Belmin Dizdarević (17) - GK - 90 MIN Halid Šabanović (19) - RB - 90 MIN Andrej Đokanović (18) - DM - 90 MIN Alen Mustafić (19) - CM/DM - 64 MIN Ševkija Resić (19) - RM/RW - 31 MIN Džani Salčin (19) - AM - 26 MIN Kenan Dervišagić (18) - LM/LW - 17 MIN Dervišagić managed to score on his 1st appearance for the A-team in stoppage time.
U21 team with a great result drawing 0-0 on the road in Belgium today. Sitting top of the group through 2 games so far (obviously Germany has only played one game). Hopefully they don't choke at the end like they did last qualifying campaign against Romania https://www.uefa.com/under21/season...1/match=2026581/statistics/index.html?iv=true
I wouldn’t say they choked. Romania were semi-finalists at the tournament. Btw, what’s funny about this U21 team is we are strongest in defense. Mujakić i Šerbečić played a great game. Complete opposite of the senior side.
Yeah, you're right about that. Portugal is always obviously strong too. I just meant choke from the sense that they started off so well and pretty much had their ticket punched if they just finished strong and then ended up getting destroyed the last 2 games. I didn't get a chance to watch the game today but yeah I heard Mujakic, and Serbecic were great, and that Bojo and Mustedanagic were not so great. I really like Mujakic and hope he gets some meaningful minutes for Kortrijk, unfortunately, that's the main thing plaguing all of our younger players... How did Catic and Cavar look? Catic got some playing time for PSV Eindoven during their last Europa league match... and has actually been an active player on the bench during the Dutch league matches
They were OK. Not too impressive. Bit I always hesitate to give a harsh judgement on youth players in a youth NT game where there are many variables that determine their play.
Ermedin Demirovic 2 goals today for st. Gallen. He has 4 goals in 5 matches in the Swiss super ligue. Hopefully he pans out
Apparently Anel Ahmedhodžić (21 yo, CB, Malmo) will decide between Sweden and Bosnia in the coming months. His gather said Misimovic/Bajevic have spoken with them. He said BiH guaranteed him a starting spot in the upcoming matches whereas Sweden would call him up but couldn’t guarantee a starting spot. I’d say it’s a 60-40 chance he picks us. Meanwhile, Bećir Omeragić (18 yo, CB, Milan at loan in Zurich) and Dennis Hadžikadunić (21 yo, CB, Rostov) are potential Bosnian international CBs for the future. We should try calling them up before they become cap-tied to their current nations.
Nick Salihamidžić (17) confirms to https://t.co/CKZ3aVVA4i that he - just like his father did - plans to represent Bosnia-Herzegovina on an international level. He currently plays for Bayern Munich U19s.https://t.co/kBdOHjc4f3— Saša Ibrulj (@sasaibrulj) August 27, 2020 didn't know his son was already 17
Yea but from what I've heard from Bayern fans that follow their youth teams is that he's "decent at best"
Borussia Dortmund U-19's have this left-back Leon(sp?) Semic who I've seen a couple of times and who's caught my eye but have no clue if he's got Bosnian roots?
His dad being the sporting director definitely plays as roles in him being in the team, don’t deny that.
Sadly, Bećir Omeragić has accepted Switzerland’s call up. If he doesn’t play a match, we can still pursue him. But honestly I’d move on if he doesn’t want to play for us anyways. We have Ahmedhodžić and Hadžikadunić as good CB talents who have switched to BiH.
Vedad Radonja moving from Dinamo to AEK instead of Besiktas. Another right back to keep an eye on and hopefully he gets a shot there in Athens. https://sportsport.ba/fudbal/vedad-radonja-u-grckoj-trazio-ga-besiktas-a-potpisuje-za-aek/374612
Blew a 1-0 lead to draw against Moldova... not really the result I was expecting but classic let down performance after a solid win.
anyone familiar with this kid? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beni_Redzic apparently his current league (USL league one) is more professional than the bosnian one since his wikipedia page hasn't been deleted only 17, 3 goals in 3 games, left winger 12' - Redzic cuts inside and scores his 1st professional goal (with a 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 help from the deflection).#NTXvMAD pic.twitter.com/rHMYLpK6Bh— North Texas SC (@northtexasSC) July 26, 2020 1292577379521572864 is not a valid tweet id
It’s funny how we haven’t had a decent RB since Mujdža but now we have a bunch of talents at that position. Dedić, Gazibegović, Radonja, Nikolić. All young RBs at good clubs. One of them is bound to become a good top 5 league RB, lmao.
Bro the USL is pretty poor quality. My city has a team in that league and the play sucks. I’m pretty confident all the top Bosnian clubs would easily become champions in this league. Not saying the kid doesn’t have potential though, I’ve just never seen him.
Elvir Ibisevic (22 and 1 cap for NT) also plays in USL League One (3rd tier) for one of the better clubs of that league. Bosnia's Premier League is definitely better. On the other hand, the USL Championship (2nd tier) is on a similar level to the Bosnia's Premier League. But I think that Bosnia's top 4 would still edge out the USL Championship's top 4.
I ask because a couple years ago I created several Wikipedia pages for young players like gojak, hadziahmetovic, etc who had just made their debuts and the Wikipedia moderators deleted the pages because the Bosnian league wasn’t professional enough for them to have pages. Think they called the league amateur. I was just trying to help raise their stock so they could get noticed more
18 year old Benjamin Bešić on the bench for Strasbourg in their league game, definitely a RM to keep an eye on.
