French league is often referred to as the Farmers League.

This is a missed opportunity IMO, the bigger talking point is still how "everyone would 8-2 be a cule right now" or something along those lines. French league were farmers league, and will always be, they tried to get out of it for like 5 days, which isn't that relevant in the grand scheme of things.

Agreed. Should have been a reference to the 8-2.

Yeah something about how the loss isn't so bad because they conceded 9 goals but only had 8 scored on them.

Easy to score 30-40 goals when you are world class in a league in which your club can spend 1 billion in players while others spend 50 max... It is like making a race with a Ferrari vs a Renault clio.

Everybody could see now that some players are not as good as they thought they were. And the Bayern backline was far from being impressive.

Hazertz to Chelsea is almost done apparently, they’re getting ready to make a 80 mil bid.
Once again how is everyone able to make moves while we can’t afford it?

    Oh and shit title btw.

Chelsea have a billionaire owner and are coming back from a transfer ban. We wasted a lot of money in the last transfer window and are in the middle of refurbishing the stadium. We also still have to pay Bale's salary and haven't been able to to offload anyone of significance yet.

Furthermore, part of the agreement for Zidane to come back probably included him having a say in transfers. He got Hazard and seemingly only wants Pogba and Mbappé and neither are available.

PSG are European midgets. Neymar was more worried about his pre-game preps becoming memes than the actual game, it seems. He's not a leader and will never be. A great player, nevertheless.

Bayern played at cruise speed and that was enough to beat one of the most soulless UCL finalists I've ever seen. A City-PSG final would have been a crime against everything that's cool about football.

Well, Mbappe has won a WC. But I wonder how healthy he was. That injury he suffered in the Cup final a few weeks back looked nasty. He didn't look like his usual self throughout these 10 days in Lisbon.

I agree with the opinion that Mbappe didn’t grow much in the last 2-3 years. He depends on his speed and off the ball movement, but what he lacks in other areas makes me want to pass on him, especially given the potential transfer fee.

I would focus on our youngsters and invest time and efforts in developing them instead.

Let’s keep an eye on Halland for the No9 position while we grow the two Brazillians into the two flanks roles.

I was thinking the same, seems to still be carrying the injury and tried to play through it.

Bizarre Icardi didn’t play at all and Moting is ahead of him now after the permanent signing?

Chelsea are close to agreeing deals to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz, Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell and former Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva according to Sky Sports. If they add Thiago to that list they'll have a pretty dangerous squad.
