https://www.valenciacf.com/en/artic...nnf12oYbHA6yQ2iL0oryNzzNaUeyy9CshQqvew3y6wQvE - essentailly, Valencia is in debt, made much worse due to COVID, must sell old players with high wages (Gameiro Kondogbia Cilessen etc), which explains the Parejo and Coquelin sellings.

All the clues are pointing to Kang In Lee starting every game next season (and probably the season after that). Remember, this kid is 19. I think he'll also get #10 shirt unless Valencia buy David Silva

Gracia let Kangin play in his natural #10 position during the first 11 vs 11 in training this past Saturday. At least that’s a little promising. I hope he takes advantage of the opportunity and does well so that he sticks there.

isn't the '10' becoming ineffective tactically since DMs are so common now?

Realistically, he’ll have to tweak his game in order to fit into modern football. His role isn’t a necessity so my hope is that he can gradually change and develop into a more typical central midfielder like KDB and Silva have.

There's a reason why players like Ozil (and to some extent Eriksen) are becoming obsolete

I think ya'll painting in super broad strokes. I think Ozil's problems were his problems and not problems with the "10" position.

would be very foolish if certain parameters were not placed in the contract by his agent

Started in the 1st preseason friendly against CD Castellón (2nd division) but was subbed off at 20’ with what appeared to be left knee discomfort. I also think the muscular problems in his right thigh from earlier this week are still lingering.

didn't really do much vs villarreal. let's see how he improves vs levante.

just needs some game time. he'll show his talent for sure!

    He’s captain, haha.

It will be interesting to see how he and Valencia do. It’s basically the 2nd team versus Levante’s regular starters.
