I absolutely love the freneticism of teams who have to attack all out at the end of a knockout match.
Adams running into a scuffle, telling Haidara "use your head, use your head." In the smart way, not the Zidane way. Future captain material for sure. Adams sends Leipzig into the semifinals!
Adams with the game winner and an important hustle play to get the yellow card. That should have been cleared and could have been bad.
What. a. win. So glad I watched. Even en Espanol with the announcers occassionally telling me Adams was more than one player on the field.
Herrera is subbed out and his replacement scores a goal for atleti. Adams subs in and scores a goal. By properties of transference I think that is a Dos a Cero.
You never know... just like a bloop hit in baseball can get a guy on a hot streak... perhaps this will give him the confidence to score and assist more moving forward.
Deflected goal aside (and we can overreact to it because it's one event w/ plenty of luck involved), he was outstanding. Best he's fared since the injury. The break may have done him good. He was buzzing around to win balls, harry opponents into TO's, when he wasn't getting home before the hiatus. Also was more technical & calm in possession. That may have been a product of getting re-experienced at the position. Very promising performance for him! The goal will get people talking about him positively, as is warranted for his overall play. Onto the semi! Gives me a fully.
You can call it luck, but it was a deserved goal . he made the right run, and he hit a really well low, driven, on target shot - it was lucky, but he earned it. That's why you shoot those.
I'm not going to pretend Leipzig aren't the underdogs here, but PSG are a very beatable side as far as Champions League semi-finalists go.
The goal: Tyler Adams does it!!The American man puts Leipzig up 2-1 with minutes remaining! pic.twitter.com/HShBjxNXGz— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) August 13, 2020
It was not on target. Should be an own goal. Nevertheless, he scored a game winner in the quarterfinals of the CL. Quite an accomplishment. Tyler stopped Joao Felix from dominating the RBL's right side. That was what led to their goal. Of course, with that goal, his defense will be overlooked.
Na, it looked on target, toward the other side of goal. Keeper may have saved it. If it was off you can't say clearly. By standard rules that's a goal attributed to the shooter.
