Saw this article by Baxter regarding the rest of the 2020 season, which is supposed to restart on Aug. 12th. https://www.latimes.com/sports/socc...will-play-mls-season-restart-later-this-month
Official first announcement: https://www.lagalaxy.com/post/2020/...iR0dZR0xrNlwvckk1RHNlYmRjRjdTVDMxZEwwcGM4NCJ9 "Each club will play 18 additional regular season games in a phased approach, culminating with Decision Day on Sunday, Nov. 8. In an expansion of the postseason for 2020, 18 clubs will compete in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs -- up from 14 teams last year. MLS Cup will be played on Dec. 12." Our first 6 games are:
I mean we are a bad team but we show glimpses of being decent against two of the best teams in the league (Portland and chivas jr. ) it seems horribly unfair to have to play them (and Seattle) over and over while the teams we are competing with for playoff spots are playing much lower tier teams over and over. Very hard for us to find our sea legs. But, Whatever. It all seems so meaningless in this pretty crummy world we’re currently living in.
They just need to make it easy on themselves and have el trafico played every week. Honestly, just eliminate all the teams and have el trafico every week.
Why jeez. Stop making us play LAFC. It's ruining the enjoyment of playing a rival if you play them 3 times in 10 games.
Big difference in running a league out-of-pod vs in-pod. I haven’t seen much success with the former.
At this point I view this season as purely a chance to get things right for next year. Now whether we actually take the opportunity to get better is another matter.
About two months into the lockdown when we were begging for live Galaxy soccer even if it sucked? But before that? A loooong time. It’s like the bargain we make when we have some pain and self-diagnose cancer - “Please God dont let this be cancer - if I’m ok I promise I’ll never complain about anything again!” Of course two days later its “God, I cant stand this ice cream - its literally unbearable!”
Our placement should embarrass this club: https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020/08/19/armchair-analyst-tiers-mls-v3-0-2020-season-kicks-again
We're the worst team in the league because we lost to LAFC and Portland in an improvised tournament missing 2 DPs and a starting winger? LAFC is the best team in MLS despite...flopping in the playoffs and this tournament? OK, Doyle.
Welp. Chicarito feels like a bust so far. Out for the game with torn calf muscle. https://www.yahoo.com/news/el-tr-fico-chicharito-galaxy-231654199.html

Maybe this whole year. It's already a lost year anyway. Recovery from soft tissue injuries are so unpredictable.
Just read that JDS is available for selection. Clearly not 90 minutes fit, but could be a second half sub.
Jeez... we are getting put over a barrel, aren't we? Just cut you a good size branch or nice thick leather belt to bite down on for the match. Goats by at least 3 goals.
I want to thank whoever is in charge for NOT creating a game day thread. I can hardly wait to see LAG go on national television and make themselves the biggest laughing stock since (insert name of politician of your choice here.)
