Hmmmm strange that, I still take my normal size and it seems most others do apart from in the Neo 3, I guess it’s just personal preference.
My foot length with crew sock/football sock seems to be 27.7, what would you guys recommend for the new morelias 2s? I'm bit confused about slight change in sizings. Thanks
You were right... ;( Which basically means that I have to buy the Beta (which I don't prefer) or pay about 80 to 100 euros extra for customs and shipping. And there are cars sent to space and back, freaking hell (although I guess that was more expensive than 80 euros).
Had to get a spare 2018 Wave Cup since one was already used for training. Weeks later, they launched the blue edition. So I did what a sane Mizuno lover would do..........load another pair into the arsenal. Life is complete until the next Wave Cup release
I really, really want to try the Wave Cups, but I'm scared of the all bladed stud pattern. I feel like I wouldn't be able to rotate enough, and get injured.
same here.....the upper is so so perfect, wish can custom order a pair with REbula Cup outsole.....can only wish.....
Yeah I definitely to get a pair of the blue ones as well. I'm the same as you, I have two pairs of the white ones. Understandable. I don't have any issues and I play mostly on AG. There really isn't any drag to speak of.
I know right! Please get them blue ones, you'll love em to bits. And yes, we absolutely need to have one pristine pair in our personal boot vault. Sizing wise, I went to true to size. On my feet, the blue ones seem slightly more snug length wise compared to the new Morelia II even though it's supposedly based on the same last. It's great news since I got my preferred length from the previous last with additional lockdown. Same here, there is negligible drag so far while playing on AG. I would even go as far to say that the stud pattern has been beneficial for my knees. Best soleplate so far wrt traction without compromising on safety.
Finally took some pics of the new boots and my wave cup collection. I really love blue. I have second pairs of white and the blue wave cups for collecting purposes. The beta III are great but honestly, I think the Rebula Cups are even better.
Yeah I went a half size down in the new Morelia. Lovely collection. I agree. The Beta is great but the Rebula Cup are definitely better.
Shameless plug. My Rebula Cup review is up! https://gaijinbootblog.wordpress.com/2020/08/17/mizuno-rebula-cup-japan-review/
So, just to be clear: do the new dimensions of the toe box apply to all morelia neo III mij models? Or is it only the beta that requires us to go a half size down? I’m asking because I’ve worn US 8.5 in every single Mizuno boot I’ve ever owned, except morelia UL. I wore a US 8 in those.
I love the look of the Wave Cup Legend (Rivaldos), but having worn the Wave Cup SS and the Morelia KR AF, I prefer the sole plate (traditional) of the Morelias as opposed to the bladed stud plate of the Wave Cup Legends, because the traction is way more aggressive. That said, I would still love to get the Wave Cup Legend at a future date, because it is just so beautiful
Dejan, I couldn't agree more....it would be perfecto if we could have the wave cup upper with either morelia 2 or rebula Cup outsoles!!!
What turf options does Mizuno have right now and is anything available with a complete leather upper? I'm not a fan of the leather forefoot with synthetic blend.
Soccer.com is doing 30% off most of their Mizuno boots as of today, including Wave Cup Legend. Just a heads up, if anyone’s interested in buying from a stateside shop with a great return policy.
Thanks for posting about the discount, Dr. Skillz. That $50 cap is misleading. There's no asterisk or qualification on the banner on their home page. (And when you click on the banner, it simply pulls up all of the qualifying shoes.) Additionally, when you pull up the "My Offers" tab, from the bottom of the page, the details for the 30% discount aren't correct. (Instead, it shows the details for the standard 10% discount.) Only when I went through the checkout process did I see the limitation: "WAREHOUSE Save 30% Off Select Footwear. Max savings of $50 per an order." I love Soccer.com for what they've done to help popularize soccer in the US and get gear to folks all over the country, long before it was available through other websites and in local shops. I've been shopping with them since the late 80s ("Eurosport" back then). But ever since they re-did their website in 2016 or 2017, I've found it to be buggy, inconsistent, and not really well managed, especially the Search function and for team orders. Anyway, looks like the stock of Neo 3s and Betas is pretty low. I wonder if they'd honor the price once they replenish their stock if you call.
I doubt they'll honor anything outside of whatever date they have set. That just seems to be the way most places do business these days. I double-checked the email they had sent, and it did not mention the $50 cap. Either way, it's still a decent deal for those unfamiliar with buying directly from Japan (either with a proxy or not). I agree about "Soccer.com," though. I remember when it was still Eurosport into the 90s. Good times.
Shameless plug, made a blog for fun, will post occasional Mizuno boot reviews. https://andysoccerreviews.wordpress.com/
