His assist from Friday the 5th is at 0:57 of the highlights below. It was a nice run by Saief. @bungadiri @TheFalseNine Oh my God! Kenny Saief at Lechia Gdańsk (on loan from RSC Anderlecht) This weekend's draw was the final match of the Ekstraklasa regular season in which Lechia Gdańsk finished 8th. Lechia Gdańsk will begin the Championship Round between the top 8 teams next weekend.
Starts and scores his first goal for Lechia Gdańsk In Poland’s top flight, Kenny Saief is slowly starting to play better. The Florida-born left midfielder has scored to give Lechia Gdańsk a 1-0 lead on Pogon Szczecin in the 27th minute https://t.co/gIuli8UngD— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) June 21, 2020 Here is video of Kenny Saief’s goal for Lechia Gdańsk https://t.co/j8a14uGt3Q— Brian Sciaretta (@BrianSciaretta) June 21, 2020

Saief came off the bench in the 69th minute with the score 0-0. Lechia won it 1-0 on a penalty in the 74th. Saief did not take the penalty. I have no idea if he had anything to do with earning it

Kenny has returned to Belgium to recover from a "muscle injury". So the loan to Lechia seems to be over, but they will consider extending the loan after he recovers from injury. https://sport.trojmiasto.pl/Lechia-...stana-co-namniej-do-konca-sezonu-n146397.html
Lechia is starting preseason, but Kenny still not with the team. Apparently Anderlecht is waiting to see if they get any better offers for him. https://translate.google.com/transl...im-skladzie/ar/c2-7834618&prev=search&pto=aue
By the way, Poland has a very weak domestic league, ranked 32nd in Europe. It's below Scotland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Sweden, Israel, and Norway. So Kenny going there is not great for his future prospects. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UEFA_coefficient#Men's_Club_coefficient
Poles neee to work on that. I imagine its partly due to low wages they can offer but their economy is expanding. Less and less Poles going abroad for better pay.
For years Poland had a big hooligan problem and general negative perception of the domestic league among many Poles. I am not sure what the current situation is. The only really bad experience I had in a month at the last World Cup was with some really drunk and aggressive Polish supporters. Just an anecdote but it reinforced all the stereotypes I had heard over the years about the game in Poland.
Kenny has still to be officially loaned or sold to Gdansk, but Anderlecht no longer want him. So he's stuck in a bad situation, and could miss most of preseason with both teams. Wonder why he doesn't move to Israel, I bet he would have good options there. But I guess those teams can't afford his transfer fee.
According to Sport 5 in Israel, Saief is re-joining Lechia Gdańsk on another season long loan from Anderlecht. I didn't see anything on their official website though this morning.
Sounds like a good place for him at this stage in his career. Going to a team that wants him is always a good start!

a beautiful city Gdansk is. I was there for a few days in August 2018 with my Polish ex. Felt like I was in Sweden
