Looks like Ramona signed also with Aston Villa. Hopefully this club can hang around past their rookie year. Last season most of the WSL games were shown for free on the FA player site(hope that continues as well with Magenta TV for Bundi games)

update, Aston Villa had also signed earlier a nifty lil player name Marisa Ewers, thus 3 Germans in their lineup. They’ve just become my new favorite English team!

Make it 4 German players for Aston Villa as they signed GK Lisa Weiss as well

Köln’s really signing some alright players, and it’s a pity that they’ll be playing in the 2nd Bundesliga

Wonder if they will retain most of the current players that helped them get promoted. It would be disservice to them after all that. Celebrating and then get let go.

That is a good question, today Aston Villa signed Danish NT Sine Larson. From what I’ve read, the WSL will be compromised of only 55% Brits, the rest, international’s. Their FA has mentioned they want WSL to start their games late in the day to attract a bigger wide TV & stream audience. Guess their going the Premier League way, which seems to of sacrificed their own English players for better quality

Bayern Munich did have an friendly vs FC Zurich over the weekend & easily won, 5-0(no highlights). Oddly enough, Buhl & Schuller didn’t play, so what’s going on? You think BM will want to assimilate them into their style/chemistry as soon as possible or are their current fwds(Bereensteyn & Dam(that)jovinic simply better?
    • Watching Lyon play to other day; the opposing defense 4-astride-back line nearly stopped them(Lyon won 1-0 over 6th ranked Guingamp). Will either BM or WOB keep their FB’s back on defense? Fat chance as long as Jorgie maintains his iron grip in those two soccer team styles(Kimmich anybody?) heck why not follow Jorgie’s mandate to the fullest & send Manuel Neur into the attack! lol

sorry, haven't kept up as of late on this threat nut they've really been keeping it quiet in not showing any highlights of recent warmup games prior to tomorrow's Champions League

here are the rosters for both teams
    Wolfsburg
    Wolfsburg | Squad | UEFA Women's Champions League | UEFA.com
    and
    Bayern | Squad | UEFA Women's Champions League | UEFA.com

Wolfsburg has had only one warmup game, a 5-2 win over Frankfurt. Guess their feeling that their 1st opponent, Glasgow City, will be a warm up too.; they lost 0-4 to Man U in their only post Covid-19 match

they probably should worry that they allowed 2 goals in(vs Frankfurt), hopefully they get away from the 3-back system

Bayern Munich giving a break to Klara Buhl. She needed surgery, but it could of waited till after the CL. Let's hope it don't come back to haunt them!

both their games should be available on live streams/though my work load will make it hard for me to watch it live. Will come back with an report & posbbily replay of both

I noticed Bayern Munich geo blocked it on youtube(though I can use my Hola pin to watch it)

I've been watching it through an site called CBS All Access, It's an pay site(but only 6 bucks per month, its got an 7 day free deal, but you got to sign in & give an credit card
CBS TV Network Primetime, Daytime, Late Night and Classic Television Shows
right now there's no direct game link(it show up right before game time)

other posters have said it's on UEFA's site, but they never want to give an direct link to the game(s)

otherwise let's hope Lohmann finds a non geo blocked German TV site by then

i'll prefer to watch the other game this time(ARS/PSG) it's just that I can't stand Lyon!
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

what did you think of Wedemeyer & Hendrich performance? Wedemeyer was all over the field(why didn't Lerch give her more playing time in the past?). Hendrich proved herself how good she is, especially when her replaced, Jansen, gave up a goal one minute after coming in. Hopefully Lerch don't sub them next game(like he usually does with his non main players) In the meantime Bremer & Oberdorf need more time to assimliate with the team's style.
but I never can figure out Popp; she barely was visible yesterday. Even her co center mid, Engen, got in the scoring act a couple of times. Why don't Popp insist on playing striker?(like she does for the NT, the #2 team in the world) It be so much better for her to stick to one position.

I actually really like Wedemeyer and thought she was active and solid yesterday, not allowing anything her way (but it was Glasgow...) and contributing to the attack. She also had plenty of runs that I saw where she could've found herself in dangerous positions and score, but her teammates didn't see her / pass the ball. A player who should be in the NT by now, imo.
I don't exactly know what Hendrich has done to outcompete Janssen (and Wedemeyer) for a CB spot, that confuses me. Hard to say really, other than that she's better at CB / DM than RB.
I've said it before, but if Wedemeyer can't find herself any playing time as a CB, her best position for Wolfsburg, she should just honestly leave the club to find playing time somewhere else
Truth is that Lerch has given her playing time, just mostly as a fullback this season lol

Popp's playing where her team needs her. With Gunnarsdottir lost to Lyon, she's filling up that position as Wolfsburg lacks midfielder these days. Maybe she'll move up when Oberdorf gets herself more involved in the team

here's the Spanish replay version of Bayern vs Lyon

so much wrong out of BM in this game, whether it crowding the middle or moving slowly upfield in an pack giving almost no space to their own players to work with while giving tons of it to their opponents! . Now really, what on earth is Hegering starting over the way faster, way more physical & way more experienced Wenninger? She's way out of position for an CB in Lyon's first goal. But then when did we see that before: oh yeah; that aparently mini important game---vs Sweden at last year's World Cup.

let's hope Wolfsburg does better. here's the link & reminder to Wolfsburg matych with Barcelona tomorrow

0-0 halftime, Wolfsburg is being outplayed. Stunningly Harder & Pajor seems to be so far marked out of the game. Let’s see what happens when the She-Wolfs bring in Rauch, Bremer & Oberdorf
