Not at all. More mocking of the MRL format. What is the point of a regional platform when 3 of the teams are 10 minutes from each and 5 of the 7 teams are in the suburbs? Again sounds like an IWSL division instead of a Midwest regional division.
Just a friendly reminder to keep criticism focused on league structure, club policies, etc. Avoid talking about people, and please avoid giving even the appearance of talking about minors. I assume the best intentions, just keeping an eye on the tone. Thanks.
Haven't heard yet.. but if you are worried about playing time ... anyone know how big the OB and NB player pools are?
I heard 22 on Eclipse North. I heard a rumor that at least one parent was very upset at the roster size and let them know.
At this point there are no games. Any scheduling is a waste of time unless you start past mid September.
If they were very upset at 22 in July, wait until we get to August... thanks for paying in advance to save your spot on the super exclusive roster(s).
So now that pritzker has forbidden kids from running down a field kicking a ball next to other kids with a different color jersey, what is exactly allowed for clubs? This latest executive order sure feels like a solution to something that wasn’t a problem at all.
Scrimmages with parent consent...no games. Totally logical. See below: https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/loc...ions-under-illinois-new-guidance/2313460/?amp
Anyone know anyone in another state or country that WILL play club soccer this fall, who will house my 16 tyo kid? That's where I'm at...
Interesting that the risk level for soccer is medium when lacrosse and hockey are classified as higher, along with football.
Two more coaches leaving CSA - makes 3. I'm guessing the word on the street that TB was not paying his coaches is correct. I'm thinking with Fall essentially done, that there will be no rebate/refund because that would put the club out of business.
I'm hearing Illinois goes back to phase 3 in Sept. So maybe no reason to put much effort into planning youth sports. I would expect clubs are now looking at what to do in terms of fees with the recent Illinois order. No Fall games, refs and less or no field rentals... We should not be getting charged for that.
A friend I know who works for the state told us 2 weeks ago that Illinois was prepping to moved back into Phase 3. So while not a sure thing, the curve sure looks to be going in that direction.
which curve? I saw the positive testing curve earlier and it showed IL below 4% (but rising slowly) and well below our neighboring states. I'll admit I can't keep up with all the data that each side is using to tell their story. I felt IL was doing well, everyone is wearing a mask inside and for the most part keeping distance from strangers.. at least adults. Now schools are remote and sports are severely restricted. It's a shame but I don't think anything will change this until a vaccine (and even then I think there will be arguments about effectiveness ...)
