HOF went into one of those massive sub routines & that’s led unfortunately to another POTS goal

noticing it ends Bayern Munich 3, Essen 0, so even if HOF won their's it wouldn't of mattered). Like I've said, would of been bad for German soccer overall if BM wasn't able to compete for the Champion's League next year.considering all the big stars they've signed up for next season

Koln should be eliminated, but wonder if their going to make a special appeal?(since their dragging down some good players that they've signed up for next season)

There’s going to be a lot of new transfers after 6/30(the date when yearly contracts ends). I’ve read rumors of Simon, Hendrich & Rosler leaving too.
Then got to wonder about Leupolz? Everybody was saying she just wanted to play in Chelsea cuz her boyfriend, Sami Khedira was going to sign a major contract with nearby West Ham, but so far he’s days he’s happy staying in Italy. So got to wonder if she has a change of mind?

btw..... rumor has it that your girl, Siems, signing with Ashton Villa(not sure if their an 1st division club!)

You mean Aston Villa? That team just got promoted to FA WSL. So they want to get some legit pros in the team. Funny enough the men's team got relegated. Opposite of Liverpool women vs men. Champions vs relegated.

So, I don't think there's any reason for Wolfsburg or Bayern to lose to any teams next season as we've seen clubs like Potsdam, Freiburg, SGS Essen drained of their best players over the last years, we now have a clearer 2-horse-race for the championship... perhaps someone will surprise like Hoffenheim this season, but it won't be enough to challenge particularly Wolfsburg...

Do we think Bayern can beat Wolfsburg next season? They tied Wolfsburg twice this season, and I don't think Wolfsburg is as good as they were with Fischer, Graham Hansen, and Gunnarsdottir, but they are still a great team of course, but it will be interesting to see who's replacing Gunnarsdottir in that midfield next season. I hope Oberdorf will because Engen and Gössling didn't look particularly good in midfield against Bayern in their last match, and then it's also question marks if the likes of Doorsoun, Wedemeyer, and Rauch can step up their game in that defense  Doorsoun has been a lot injured this season, while Rauch is a hard one to judge as Wolfsburg is way stronger than Potsdam and she had her problems in Potsdam although she's undeniably their first choice. Wedemeyer has been pretty good from what I've seen from her, but she's no natural fullback and she's not able to beat neither Gössling nor Bloodworth for a permanent CB spot. I think Bloodworth's been a really good replacement for Fischer in that defense, and Gössling has a really high standing in the team so Lerch won't ever leave her on the bench, but perhaps she will move up to midfield next season... and Gössling's still going strong so there's no real reason to put her on the bench.

Bayern's also now facing a future without Leupolz in the midfield, she will be missed, but I think Lohmann's got what it takes to cover that spot just fine, she's very talented. Wenninger and Demann are a pretty solid CB pairing, and I've always been impressed by Demann when she plays, but she struggles with injuries, which is a pity. Same with Laudehr, but she doesn't look that great as a CB if I'm fair and I prefer Wenninger and Demann. Simon is a pretty good LB, but has some real issues with her pace. Hendrich has been benched lately, and while she's a solid RB, she's not great in that position either as I think a defensive midfield role would suit her better, or even the CB position she played under Jones.

I also think it's a pity that Däbritz, Rolfö and Roord left the club last season, especially Däbritz and Rolfö because Gwinn and Beerensteyn are not the same on the wings. While Gwinn's been pretty good this season, when she's played, I feel like she shined more during her time in Freiburg ... under the same coach, but she was injured this season, and hopefully, her Instagram fame doesn't ruin the potentially great future she might have. Schüller and Bühl are great signings, also Hanna Glas and Zadrazil are solid as well, so it will be really interesting to see Bayern next season as they have a great squad available, and will in my eyes have a stronger squad than this season as they're not really letting any key-players go, except Leupolz of course.

Bayern will have a way stronger offense next year when they’ll include Buhl, Schuller & Asseyi(4th leading scorer in the French league). With those 3 they can bring Dallmann back to midfield.

got to ask this question; MVT considers Oberdorf to be one of the 10 top field players in Germany(obviously since she started her in the most recently vs Sweden & England). If you watched her vs BM yesterday, do you think she looked like one of the top ten best players? I mean, she might of not accomplished much at AM cuz of the lower caliber of her team mates, but then look how she fouled at a dangerous spot which gave to the Magull free kick/goal. Then fouled this time in the PK area(which BM scored on too. And I got to ask; am I’m the only one that‘s NOT too impressed with her?

but otherwise despite all the top quality players being bought off from the bottom ten & the part time coaches, German woso goes way deep & there’s always those nuggets like Hoffenheim to keep things interesting

Are there limits how many players in each team? Surely other teams can get good players.

There’s no salary caps on how much a team can spend, but it seems within the Bundi only BM & WOL are giving real pro salaries. If you look at 3rd & 4th places teams(HOF & POT) their average roster age would be the early 20’s. So similar to US/college where once you graduate, majority tend to retire from soccer in search of a real job/ maybe a few might stick around in hopes of getting picked up by an richer club.
What gets me is how the bottom ten clubs play a full season(9 months, plus preseason) without much compensation? But then again if you look that woso is dominated by the richer countries in the world, just like the US, it’s parents that are still supporting their kids while their playing soccer(no matter what age, lol)

just speculating however as info can be hard to come by

Oberdorf’s been good for the NT, looked confused against Bayern

Hendrich is leaving Bayern... curious if she didn’t want to extend her contract or if she wasn’t offered a new one...
    Schweers too

I hope they don’t go to England, it’s been a graveyard for German player’s careers as Kemme, Simic. Banuch all announced retirements due to injuries while playing over there, meanwhile it took Bremer a whole two years to recover from knee surgery.

I was under the impression that men’s clubs, Eintracht & Hertha, will take over Frankfurt & Potsdam for next season. So hopefully that means more spending money(do let’s keep our fingers crossed that Hendrich & Schweers head over there).
But saddening is that Koln will be relegated even though with new added money they bought Islacker, Beck & Lotzen as well as possibly Knaak? for next year. So taking some really decent players out of Div 1 too

Playing in FA WSL is like playing in the EPL, its very physical.

Now WOB’s going to have 5 of MVT’s premium starters vs 3 for BM, though it’s 8 vs 7 for BM out of the 26 players currently rostered on the NT.

    with those two clubs looking even more dominant by next year, got to wonder the pro’s & cons;
on one hand Oberdorf & Buhl might become better while playing with better team mates, but on the other side of the coin, how are they going to improve when 10 out of 11 of their Bundi opponents are going to be so significantly weaker?
Germans can play an physical game, but they frown upon producing an physical type player, rather they proudly like to bring up more technically advanced ones.
One of the interesting statements ever made was from the Iceland coach after his team beat the Germans during an WC qualifier, he said “all Germans play alike”, meaning their so predictable. Got the feeling current coach MVT understands this so is looking for that right combination of technical, physical & athletic players in some of her newer recruits. But then she still wants to play Jorgie Low’s system of interchangeable players where you can’t tell the difference if their an attacker, midfielder or defender. So it goes right back again to what the Iceland coach originally said; all German play alike!
