I’m saying it’s relatively easy to score for City when they have so many creative players .. I wasn’t being serious.....

Henderson Carrick is an interesting one. Both have had fantastic careers, whilst Carrick never truly hit the heights for England, I'd argue it wasn't really his fault. I'd also say that in a hypothetical world, I'd still rather have Carrick as he is more suited to international football than Henderson due to his superior technical ability and the way he plays, even if Henderson has had the better international career in reality.

Carrick was a great a player and won't have lastest as long at Man utd if he wasn't. But some players take to international football better than others. A few years ago I won't have put Henderson and Carrick in the same league. But in the last few years henderson has really kicked on for Club and Country. Also Henderson has become a very good leader.

Henderson is the most underrated midfielder in the world. The last few seasons he's come on leaps and bounds. He needs a more creative midfielder alongside him though like foden. No good having dier or rice alongside him. Foden is 20 now, time to call him up

I don't think Henderson is in the same stratosphere as Carrick was. He's athletic and functional and not much else. Carrick was one of the most talented holding midfielders that England has ever produced.

I still have reservations for Henderson in an England shirt.

Why is it, do you think, that he plays for Man City rather than Aston Villa?

He’s not as loyal to his first real club ... as Grealish is/was. ??

Liverpool signed him at 16 .

Are you suggesting Matt Le Tissier wasn’t good enough to play for a top team ??

Grealish has demonstrated that he's good enough to play for a big team, but he doesn't operate at a level where he demands it. He's never really done anything to make big teams fight over him. I believe that big teams would have been fighting to sign Sterling if he'd broken onto the scene at Villa. I think people forget how good he was at Liverpool. All he ever really needed was to tidy up his finishing.

Le tissier could have played for a top club easily. Yes he wasn't a great athlete but he's the most technically gifted English player I've ever seen. How he only got 8 caps is a joke. I was behind the goal when he scored that amazing floated effort over tim flowers at Ewood Park. Best goal I've seen at Ewood.

Grealish needs to move to a bigger club if not in the Premier League then he needs to play in the Bundesliga, La Liga, French Ligue 1 or Serie A

I'm suggesting that Sterling is playing for Man City because he is a top player, and has been a top player since he burst onto the scene as a teenager at Liverpool.

He's only 9 months older than Grealish but has scored more PL games than Grealish has made appearances in the top flight. It's nothing to do with loyalty, RS is just simply better, and has been for a long time.

I'm a big fan of Grealish, and hope he gets his move that he deserves - but it is a totally different thing playing at a top club where you have to win things every year, opposed to being the main man at a lesser club as a big fish in a small pond.

Le Tissier had the talent, but it takes the mentality to do so, and to do it year in, year out - to fight of those brought in to take your place, to fight of the incredible academy talents, and Raheem has shown he can do that.....hopefully Grealish can.....Le Tissier didn't

What did Carrick do at international level to make you think him and Henderson aren't at the some level?

Le Tissier was as talented as Gazza (maybe even more so) He probably should have got more caps. A bit of a wasted talent, But my god he scored some great goals.

Carrick didn't have much of a chance to do anything at international level due to the ineptitude of the management. What has Henderson done other than prove himself a liability whenever England are pressed?

There's a lot of talented players out there, Le Tiss was great to watch but can't ever be seen as a top player because of what he didn't achieve

Probably True. If only he'd had the commitment to go with his talent.

The only tough games were against Belgium twice, Colombia and Croatia. We lost twice against Belgium, Henderson was the only England player to miss his penalty against Colombia, and was one of the primary causes of our loss against Croatia.
