But my point is he has something like 10 goals in his last 10 games for England. The level of England's midfield isn't anywhere near city's

Wilshire will always have far more natural ability than an athlete like Sterling though .. his career has been blighted by terrible injuries.

Sterling is a winger though and one of the best dribblers and quickest players we have ever had

grealish, foden, Maddison are players to compare Graelish to. Not heem

Tammy Abraham deserves to also be in this conversation too

I don’t think anyone has actually compared them to each other as ‘players’ ... more their situations

I've always liked his game and personality. Give him service and he'll produce results plus he's a great guy to have around the squad.

Plus now that England is starting to bring in even younger players, England are basically set for like the next decade

Its not a fair comparison though is it? You’re comparing players who are now retired and had distinguished careers compared with many that aren’t even halfway through theirs and many are still young. Ask again in another 10 years or so.....

That team were completely useless! I'm an avid England fan and have supported the team through everything but that team were utter tosh. Ok they gave us a couple of nice results ie 5-1 against Germany but they never got anywhere in tournaments. Give me this young, enthusiastic, diverse, exciting, skillfull team any day. They also dont let club rivalries get in the way whilst representing their country.

I think Saka greenwood Foden will be in the euro squad plus maybe Curtis Jones might have a chance.

A much weaker version of the current squad already surpassed that generations greatest achievements, which is all you need to know.

I meant on paper ... we always expect great things from those players as they were brilliant players for their CLUBS but 9 out of 10 games they disappointed

Greenwood is so young so let’s not write him off, he looks to have great feet and has a goal scoring knack

I’m excited, just more concerned with cbs and holding cms

No one is writing him off, only Tito seems to have doubts about his ability but I’m guessing he just hasn’t seen enough of him to realise his potential. He’s one of the best young players for his age around imo.

Absolutely! Being the best team on paper doesn't mean anything....just ask the Scots about Ali's army

    Pickford in for Robinson
    TAA in for Hargreaves
    Sterling in for Joe Cole
    Henderson in for Carrick
You probably have to go for Kane over Rooney as well if you'll not playing 442.

I’d only agree with TAA at RB and even then I think Hargreaves was just filling in at that position..

Also Rooney could play as lone striker .. he had a fabulous period there I seem to recall ..

I'd probably have a prime Henderson over Hargreaves as well in midfield just because hes less injury prone than Hargreaves.I'd probably have TAA over Gary Neville because hes probably the better alround footballer. As for Rooney and Kane its what do you want an out and out goal scorer or the better alround footballer? Btw Kane scored more world cup goals in one game than Rooney did in his whole career.
