One size does not fit all. Lainez and Alvarez left sooner and both have not been playing. There’s countless other examples of players leaving to early and flopping or failing just as there are stories of success. When are people going to learn that leaving to Europe earlier does not always work out. This narrative is old and false Sure Reyes, Herrera, and Jimenez could have left sooner but let’s not exaggerate. Also, I’m not advocating for Macias staying longer especially if clubs like Dortmund are asking. I’m saying stay if his only choice is Lille who can’t afford him anyways. Seriously...some of y’all hear Europe and ejaculate prematurely.
Lainez who is 19, and Alvarez left soon because they aren't playing in their 1st year? Wasn't Herrera like 22-23 playing with Porto B? Reyes at 21-22 with Porto B? Raul a benchwarmer that got like 500 minutes with Atletico his first year and same with Benfica his next 3 years? Tecatico played at Twente, but was struggling with minutes his first 3 years with Porto after that? Salcedo a benchwarmer with Fiorentina his first year? Layun a benchwarmer with Watford? Ochoa making mistakes and still makes the same mistakes in his 30's as a gk? Aquino same struggling for minutes with Villareal and Rayo Vallecano, which is why he's back at Tigres? It doesn't matter what age our players leave or how many years they start in Mexico before leaving. They will struggle for minutes because the competition they play against as well as the internal competition within their team is higher. Plain and simple. Did Chucky leave too early? Would he be any better had he played in Mexico with Pachuca the previous 2 years before going to Napoli last summer? People are acting like Club America has the same level of talent as Ajax and Betis. SMDH.
Seriously!? You’re complaining about Herrera, Jimenez, Reyes, Corona, leaving to late? Get a grip sure they could have gone earlier but 3 of the 4 are solid to very good players. These are awful examples. The others came back because of their level of play. Calm down nobody is saying Chucky should have stayed longer. Herrera, Jimenez, Corona, developed nicely, time will tell if Lainez or Alvarez can break through but it won’t be because they left at an earlier age, it will be because of their skill. Davila, Rivera, Guarch all left at an early age and flopped. At least a couple of these could have developed nicely had they stayed a bit longer. See how that works? Once again, one size does not fit all.
So many flops, so many tears Don’t matter when or where our boys land, they still gotta perform. There’s examples of failures and success on both sides of the argument. I just hope Lainez and Alvarez get it together since we don’t have young talent in Europe anymore.
Also lol at this since this is agreed upon but you should let them wilas know since they think otherwise... https://www.esto.com.mx/482315-liga...-lucharia-por-top5-en-espana-futbol-mexicano/ https://americamonumental.bolavip.c...elear-en-la-Liga-de-Espana-20200509-0006.html
Historically, not all young players pan out anyways, whether they are Mexican and play in Liga MX, they play in Europe or go to Mars. It's a fact. Look at our olympic gold team. Most didn't turn out to anything and some went from Liga MX starters in their teens and early 20's to completely disappearing from the map to what was supposed to be their prime years in their career. If we can send players abroad early, we need to do so. Some will end up flopping anyway.
Of course they would. Especially with Ochoa leading them who couldn't get any minutes with an average team in Malaga. I can only imagine how good they would be if they had their former star and probably best CM/CDM in liga MX in Guido Rodriguez who is currently a benchwarmer with Betis.
I think we are going in circles... Generally I agree, the earlier a player goes to Europe the better but like I said there are countless examples of players flopping. I say chooses wisely and not "a lo pendejo" just because it's Europe. All I'm saying is that in Macias case Dortmund have been following him for the better part of a year...they are known for developing talent and selling at hefty price tags. Lille is not a big talent developer or seller...might as well stay at Chivas. If he's good enough and Dortmund or any other big team wants him, Chivas will let him go for a good price. They aren't tigres, monterrey or wilas. This isn't the 90's or 00's...teams all over Europe are looking at Liga MX. If you're good enough you'll be exported.

That would be awesome! We need more CBs in Europe, especially in one of the two best leagues in the world.
