President Bartomeu has asked the players for another pay cut. The economic situation is so harsh that they have no choice but to ask the players for more effort. [cat radio] pic.twitter.com/xEW7dHSsJM— barcacentre (@barcacentre) June 2, 2020
EMD reporting Dembele to Juve on loan. (Not saying it’s true but let’s run with it for a moment...) So, in summary: that would be the two biggest signings in Barça’s history, costing a combined €300m, both leaving the club (temporarily) for no transfer fee.— Sid Lowe (@sidlowe) June 3, 2020
The German FA confirms that Bundesliga players will not be sanctioned for making anti-racism protests during games."The DFB is firmly against all forms of racism, discrimination and violence and stands for tolerance, openness and diversity." pic.twitter.com/MpVsMX2Ewz— B/R Football (@brfootball) June 3, 2020
The German basketball League gavavave a statement that all sort of political statements, including those in support of the recent protests are forbidden. No wonder the League is borderline irrelevant in Europe. Absolute idiots. I don't want to be "that guy", but Brescia has been running mostly on loaned money for about half a decade. You can demand a lot of committment from the players, but if i would have to guess, i would say that they are not getting paid on time, if at all right now. It's not being talked about a lot, but even in Spain, a lot of players are owed checks still not paid out. And that's before the coronavirus crisis.
Chelsea now favourites to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig. Werner would be happy to play for Chelsea. Final decision expected early next week. £49m release clause expires on 15 June— Kaveh Solhekol (@SkyKaveh) June 4, 2020 That’s a bargain price for Werner. We should be in on that
Jesus CORONA scores Porto's first goal as Portugal's top flight resumes. However, Porto lost the match so now Benfica has control of their own destiny. Good title race!
Bayern have made some mistakes on the pricing of players (Kroos, Sane in hindsight), but i am very careful when they step away from a player because of other issues.
The best PL player at the moment, Kevin De Bruyne, developed in the Bundesliga. Plenty other successes too. Firmino, Son, Gundogan, Ozil I get it that it’s a worse league and I have my reservations about Werner as well, but every player that makes it to the top started in a crappier league.
I agree with 4x4s. Bet Bayern saving that money for Havertz who looks like world class talent. They don't really miss out on top German talent. Sane probably because Pep convinced him to join City using the reputation he gained in Germany. Journos were even crediting him for 2014 World Cup win. Just like with Spain though Aragones won Euro 2008 when Pep was a lower division coach.
If we're looking at a German forward, Havertz is the way to go. Strong, physical, technical, and versatile. Really seems ready to be one of the best players in the world at some point. Getting him would probably mean no Haaland and depending on the price and salary, I don't think there is a gulf in quality between the two if any.
Pool don't have the money to match Roman after Corona hit. Timo Werner is ready to sign his contract as new Chelsea player until June 2025 on next days - paperworks time. Liverpool have not sent any official bid to hijack the move.Chelsea will pay €55M to RB Leipzig. Timo has already spoken directly with Frank Lampard. 🔵 #CFC— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 4, 2020
That's Kroos level salary. Kroos - 10 ME nett, Jovic - 6 ME. Werner & Chelsea is getting hot! According to BILD information, Werner should sign a contract with Chelsea until 2025, collecting more than 10 million euros per year— Christian Falk (@cfbayern) June 4, 2020
American owners usually doesn't spend like oil clubs. They are in it to make money. Besides, Boston Red Sox must be their first priority.
It’s intersting that you’re considering him a forward, I’ve heard he’s being played as a striker right now for Bayer, but I always thought he was an attacking midfielder. Has he transitioned his role or was he never really a mid?
