Just watched the WOF video on Diallo. It is much better than the other vids I saw. I see the Kante comparison. If we can get him this window we NEED to get it done...
French sources are claiming that we have opened discussions about acquiring Rabiot. They are not specific on purchase vs loan.
Seeing more on this now. From what I have read PEA is their backup plan. Supposedly there is clause in their loan deal fr Icardi that gives them until 5/31 to have exclusive negotiation rights for a permanent deal. If they cant get a deal done prior to that they plan to approach us for PEA. The early claims are a 35m GBP cash offer.
I could get behind that. Gives us a player to replace Ozil in the current formation or play outside CM in a Pep 4-3-3 plus enough extra cash to go after 1-3 of the younger guys we have been linked to.
According to Ornstein we would like to move 3 CBs this window and will listen to offers for Sokra, Mustafi & Holding.
Not getting too much in return for someone a couple weeks away from turning 32 and on an expiring contract or someone who the club has been trying to sell for 2 years and is also on an expiring contract. Holding might have some value for English clubs if he wasn't a huge injury risk having barely played in the last 18 months. I assume Mavropanos isn't even worth mentioning at this point.
I'm assuming Mavro will go on loan again. Maybe a 2nd stint at Nurnberg? He's young enough that I think we are better off loaing him out for playing time to see if he can develop enough to contribute and at least raise his value to cash in later. Another rumor I'm seeing... Newcastle, Everton & City are interested in AMN and Arteta has supposedly given his blessing to sell for a good price.
Based on the rumors I saw, They have until the end of May to sort out Icardi and if those negotiations fail then (and only then) will they come for PEA.
Milan can't afford him (salary or transfer) not 100% sure Inter can meet his salary demands either but they aren't gonna try to pull the trigger until they know for sure that Martinez is gone. Either way, all this stuff is delayed until atleast Aug. While a good number of deals will likely get done before the window opens, the summer window isn't gonna open until the league seasons are complete.
Seeing some buzz today suggesting a Coutinho loan (assuming Barca can't find a buyer) and some confidence from Arsenal that we have an agreed deal for Ryan Fraser.
