Who TF was complaining, it’s just the way it is. It’s called time difference even trump can’t change that.
I was mostly joking, but also thinking of India, because I had not realized that China does a single time zone. Which seems kinda nutty ... but I guess it works for them.
??? Thank you guys for trying to explain my post to the member who has read who-knows-what in it. I am honestly flabbergasted that an innocent mid-rant about keeping oneself up-to-date through time-zones can have beeen interpreted as having any kind of malicious intent. Maybe it was because of my previous anti-Trump post about the President of the United States bullying a Chinese-American reporter (a post that, by the way, I keep being proud of), but I don't think this justifies seeing imaginary second or third-level intents in everything I write... There's just one more little problem, though... Well, I don't know how to put it, but... I am not a she, I am an he. I hope this doesn't disappoint anyone and I'll admit my avatar is misleading, especially because when I subscribed I didn't want to indicate any sex in my profile (back then my idea was sharing as little personal info as possible). You see, I am mostly a women's soccer follower and, in the women's boards here on BigSoccer, it's a longtime habit that avatars don't really represent ourselves, but more often our favourite women players. That habit spans through all of the women's boards (there are countless male posters with avatars of Tobin Heath or Joy Fawcett or other women champions from the present or from the past), but it's even more rooted in Nadeshiko Japan's boards, where I post most of my content. For records, the woman in my avatar is veteran Nadeshiko Japan National Team member Aya Sameshima.
Page nine? Page nine!!! Anything beyond one page, one bullet point and a picture or two is worthless. What a fail by Obummer.
Not sure how much it actually works for them. It was imposed by history's biggest butcher. Look at the table here and tell me that makes any sense: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_in_China
Holy crap.. how big is your ignore list? And one of them appears to be Timon since he's literally explained to you several times what happened and you are just digging in deeper.
Thank you for your reasoned response. I have no real expectations from the govt, so it is difficult for them to let me down. The number one thing they could do for me is quit killing people for resource procurement. After that keep the water running and the electric flowing, don't let planes drop out of the sky on the regular, don't let the roads get so bad they mess up front end alignment, and schools, well not failing so epically would be a massive improvement. Fire and Police, etc. but like I said pretty minimal expectations, and even police have nearly as much negative as positive. I had two grandkids, siblings, but they have been separated for most of the SIP stuff, who got sick for a minute last week, and I had a chance to examine my feelings about this up close and personal. While I tried to convince myself the odds were relatively low that either of them even had cOvid, much less be killed by it, it was a scary 24 hours or so. It turned out to be routine allergy causing inner ear and upper respiratory distress/discomfort and typical to them for this time of year. I would like to see some numbers on representative sampling for both the illness and the antibody test. I think that would tell us the real danger. I think people who share your position believe in the ability of government and are not as fatalistic as people who feel that is time to find out who is going to live and who is going to die. Now that does not mean I am heading to any crowded venues personally, but don't care if others want to give it a go. I will got to the lake, but not Wal mart during peak hours. In my estimation there are three things that appear to make this thing especially lethal. 1) over ~60, 2) high density populations, 3) underlying health issues particularly diabetes and blood pressure problems, to most of the rest of the population it is not nearly as deadly. The three factors being overly represented thus far in any statistics I have seen that give any kind of a SES/ demographic breakdown. I believe that absent one of those three factors death rates over expected mortality for most others will be at acceptable risk levels for a lot of people. We may lead the world in deaths total. but we are 9th in deaths per capita with NYC included. Brummie posted some data earlier and cherry picked the numbers that best supported his point, but completely disregarded the numbers that showed we were way down the list he chose to use in deaths per capita. My state opened May 1 and our hospitalizations and deaths have continued to decrease. I do think we are maintaining some personal space and most places are allowed 30-50% occupancy, but we will soon see, if you are right there should be some spike in hospitalizations or deaths by late next week. So we will soon see if the second wave is dire, nothing to see here. or somewhere in between.
I am pretty sure Timon and I are on good terms. Funny that you have to weigh in... being a moderator and all.
Seriously, this dude is a medical Doctor and still an ignorant to boot. That level of stupidity is mind blowing. Sen. Paul leaves coronavirus hearing and tells cameras: “here’s the other question and this is unprovable. I think New York would have lost the same amount of people whether we did anything or not”“A lot of what happens with the virus is independent of what government does”— Burgess Everett (@burgessev) May 12, 2020
I'm wading in because you are unnecessarily making an issue of someone joking about how many pages of message they have to catch up every morning and, despite having several explain to you what happened, you continue to think that Blissett was making a comment abut how poorly the US was doing against covid19...
You got all that out of a comment that me and Timon are okay? Just give me my red card for doing nothing already.
