My neighborhood has probably a couple dozen signs for workers.

My neighborhood has probably a couple dozen houses where people (mostly kids) mingle freely.

I caught something a month or so back about all the notable actors who had bit parts in that show. Man, that is great. I need finish season 1...after I get through The Expanse.

Wasn’t it said that European tourists enter the US primarily on the East coast and China through the West coast?

Coincidentally, 12 cases in my county are traced to people on a trip to Ireland. I think one was fatal.

What really saddens me is the way that the Republican Party has fallen on its knees to kiss Trumps orange arse as he shits on everyone.

Yeah, not good to be old in NYC this spring. For comparison's sake, Chicago's homicide rate was 18 last year, and Trump talks repeatedly about the dangers of living in Chicago.

It’s a good job this isn’t Russia or Fauci would be taking flying lessons about now.

I really wonder if he’ll show up or actually mention it when the time comes.

Not that I’m cynical or anything.

It seems like the biggest predictors of high infection rates are high density and usage of public transit. It's not really surprising that NYC is such an outlier in the US. How many people does the average NYer get within 6 feet of every day? 1,000? More? Compare that to the average person in rural Utah, who might get that close to a handful of people every day outside of their household.

The rural clusters we're seeing seem to be tied to locations like meatpacking plants where employees spend a lot of time relatively close together.

That’s not quite correct. People get the bug at home then take it to the processing plant.

Now, just try to imagine what actually living outside of the USA feels like, maybe 6 to 10 time zones from you, in Europe! :)
