We are kind of slow around here so some light reading for your pleasure: https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...66fd38-784f-11ea-a311-adb1344719a9_story.html
No big surprise. Too bad nobody had or has the balls to stop Qatar’22 from happening. Maybe Covid will have something to say about it.
At this point I’d settle for the rights being pulled from fox. I’m sure this wouldn’t happen but it would make things way better.
FOX Soccer Match Pass shutting down June 30th - https://worldsoccertalk.com/2020/04...match-pass-streaming-service-is-shutting-down SA www.soccertvblog.com
I don't know if it has been mentioned around here but FS1 has a soccer show on Sundays called FOX Indoor Soccer. The title is a bit misleading cause it has nothing to do with Indoor soccer. I would have tuned in weeks ago if I knew that. It is a show about US Men and Women's soccer along with MLS and some foreign stuff. The show I viewed yesterday had Alexi Lalas, Rob Stone and Stu Holden. Then they showed some PS4 FIFA tournament after that.
I was desperate for live content and turned away a week or two ago when I saw people talking. It wasn't until this past weekend that I realized that it a show.
I see Fox Deportes is showing the Atlanta-NYRB match along with TUDN and broadcast Fox. However, Fox Deportes is showing the same English-language broadcast as broadcast Fox, plus I noticed they were approximately 10-12 seconds ahead. Due to lightning in Orlando, Fox went to a rebroadcast of Nashville-Atlanta earlier in the year and Fox Deportes went to a Spanish-language boxing match. In fact, I now see that Fox Deportes is scheduled to do this same thing over the next few days, even if the game is on FS1. If TUDN has the Spanish-speaking rights and the games are in English on FS1, why show the games on Fox Deportes? It makes sense if the games are on Fox, as local affiliates can break in. I'll take it though. It gives me an excuse to watch Fox Deportes if I want.
The TUDN SAP audio normally used for English commentary currently just has crowd noise only, which some folks may like.
For the Cincinnati-Columbus game, Fox Deportes is more like 2-3 seconds ahead. FS1 and TUDN are fairly even.
Any ideas on the future of Fox Soccer Plus? They seem to show a lot of rugby and Australian rules football. Fox does still have all of the FIFA tournament rights.
The U-21, U-20, U-17 WCs, the Women's WCs, the Futsal WCs, the Euro WCQs, etc, etc. Those types of tournaments
I'm surprised they're hiding English-language broadcasts on FS+. The regional channels are going to soon be full with their local teams, but what's better for the eyeballs? Liga MX simulcasts with FS+ or poker/fishing/whatever? I assume they'd want the simulcast due to needing/wanting national coverage, but still. Heck, Fox Business on a Sunday can't be too crowded. FS+ needs to either go away or become Fox Sports International along the lines of FS1/FS2.
I'm not sure how this is possible...if its legit or if someone goofed. I'm almost positive I don't subscribe to Fox Soccer Plus via my TV, but... apparently I get it via the Fox Now and Fox Sports apps. I only wish I knew about this sooner. Seeing what Fox Soccer Plus has become, I'm glad I don't pay for it. This reminds me of when I got BeIN via my TV provider's website (they used to have a website to watch TV channels online) but not via the TV channel itself.
