Don’t throw shade at your own kind when you’re clueless man. Lame. They’re no more scrawny than your typical pro footballer. Truth is, Nike doesn’t make the vaporknit version for all but the Brazil, USA, and Frances of the soccer world plus a few others. These specialized versions use thinner, ventilated and slim fitted material. I buy these whenever I can cuz I’m built like a UFC fighter and want the best of what they offer. Son tends to wear his Vaporknit Spurs shirt looser because he likes to wear the Nike Pro compression underneath. Harry Kane on the other hand doesn’t and wears his shirts and just about everything else skin tight.
I just orderd both Home and Away Kits from the Nike Store. Anyone know where in Korea I can purchase the new Number Fonts? https://www.footyheadlines.com/2020/04/nike-south-korea-2020-kit-font-released.html
A lot of the Nike stores in Korea are offering free name and numbering right now (only for the Stadium kits last time I checked, the Vaporknit kits use a different material for printing).
It was only released in Korea a week ago, and the stores that have it don't ship it separately overseas. If you prefer kits with printing, I always recommend importing the pre-customized kits because it's extremely difficult to buy the official namesets outside of Korea.
The kits and everything else are up on nike.com but not being sold yet https://www.nike.com/w/korea-soccer-5p7lc?vst=south korea national soccer team&redirect=true
Noticed something about the away kit. The retail versions of both the Stadium and Vaporknit kits don't have the white gap in the middle for the number, but all of the away kits that the players have modeled so far do, and the stripe pattern itself is different (notice the dots in the Stadium kit that aren't in HUJ's kit). I've never seen a design difference like that between the retail and player-issue kits before:
I can see why the player-issues need the white gap for visibility, but it makes the kit less aesthetically pleasing than the retail version.
I'm guessing they know that many people will buy the kits with no number/lettering so having a big white gap in the middle of the chest would look out of place.
I haven't bought the authentic kit yet (waiting for the player-issue Vaporknit away), but I came across some $15 Chinese replicas that are damn good. I've been buying kits of various kinds since 2006, and these are by far the best Korea replicas I've seen. Usually, the emblem looks off, there's no flag patch and sellers can't source the proper font, but these are bang on (minus the away chest number, which the seller's corrected since). The process to buy these is somewhat convoluted (there's two versions of these reps available and one is much worse than this), but I'll let everyone know when I get these in.
Okay, the verdict is in: I can't tell the difference between this replica and the retail shirt. The difference in color is because of my camera, but the pattern, badge, and fonts look identical to the retail version.
Sure, it's this seller here. It's not a storefront, you'll need to purchase from them by emailing or sending them a message on Whatsapp using the number on their contact page. Price is $15 including lettering, which is ridiculous considering how close this is to retail. I have the away jersey on the way from a different seller, but it looks like they have the away in stock now too.
Im sold. Im going to order the home H M SON #7 and the away K I LEE but not sure what number. He wore #10 at the U20 WC and wears #16 at Valencia. Does anyone remember what # he wore when he was called up to the senior team?
im seeing his jersey #18 on some sites: https://www.europecupshirt.shop/lee-kang-in-south-korea-home-2020-jersey-pink-p23592
He's worn a few different numbers for the senior team: #27 in his first call-up (did not play) #13 in his debut match against Georgia #18 against Lebanon #6 against Sri Lanka #10 is his preferred number in international tournaments, but he hasn't worn it for the senior team (it's usually worn by Lee Jaesung). I'd expect him to stick with #10 once he becomes a mainstay.
Got the photos of my away jersey that's being shipped out. You should ask to add the Taegukgi sleeve patch, because the seller I linked above doesn't include it by default. The away rep looks good and the pattern matches the retail version too. Comparison to retail - virtually no difference: The bad batches floating around on DHGate look like this (note the incorrect pattern and emblem quality):
what size did you get? Ordering from Asia, the sizes get tricky. I'm 6'0 185 lbs and ordered 2XL. I dont like to wear it tight.
