Good list, although I find surprising that Atlas's Jesús Angulo isn't being contemplated since he's been one of the better young Mexican full-backs of the last few years.
I sat next to Chris Wondolowski on Thursday at the Sharks game...he dropped the puck. Seemed like a nice guy. That is all.

Don't know if he can make the Olympic team but he should definitely be on the radar of the U20 which is looking kind of weak in experience.
Was thinking today, El Emperador missed the 2002 WC unfortunately due to injury during a warmup to a pre WC game. If he doesn't get hurt, does he make any difference to our team during the WC? It would have been Rafa and Emperador in the CBs. Thoughts?
Hard to say considering the team played well in the group stage. Who knows if he would have made a difference in the second round game? That loss was all on Vasco. Taking out Ramon Morales who had been one of our best attacking players during that time was a stupid mistake
Very true. Has Vasco come out and said why he did that? I couldn't believe he was doing that as I was watching. I know even Reyna (I think) said how much trouble Ramoncito was giving them and how happy they were to see him get subbed out
I don’t think Vasco has said anything regarding why he took out Ramoncito Looking back, all those second round losses hurt. But the one that stings the most for me was 2006 against the Argies.
Suarez actually made it back before the World Cup to try to make it and Aguirre didn't take it. At the time it was understandable but like every WC squad, Aguirre did it wrong a took a lot of players who stayed on the bench so I don't know if he should have left him off.
That is why I don't get up in arms like most bsmxers do when a player or 2 get left off. Usually it's guys that wouldn't play anyways. Like pizzaro last wc, gio didn't play much and pizzaro would have played less. Coaches usually set on a base of 14 so 4 won't see time at all
This pandemic got people doing all kinds of crazy sh*t so I figured I would join and watch a replay of the 2016 Copa America match vs Chile. It's no surprise Paul Aguilar never played for Mexico again after this game. 13 minutes in and both Araujo and Moreno were pulled out of position a few times while trying to cover for Aguilar's senseless meandering into the offensive third.
Back in the summer of 2016, I turned the game off 5 minutes into the second half. Walked two blocks to a bar and ordered bulleit on the rocks. That was the only time in my life where I turned off a Mexico game. Ended up having four or five of those bulleits and drunk dialing the girl I started dating a few weeks back and ranting about the game for over an hour. She's been my girlfriend since that night.
I was very embarrassed during this game. My wife had made plans to go out to dinner with another couple (anglos). I was pissed and made a big deal about not missing the game. So she moved it up an hour and we just went home after dinner instead of going out for drinks. Wife ended up inviting the couple over to watch game, well you know rest. Sitting with other people watching them get drilled like that was embarrassing.
I saw that game at the stadium. I brought my wife who had never been to a soccer game. I concluded she was bad luck and never took her again.
