Vaping may explain why the younger generation in the US are getting hospitalized at a higher rate than elsewhere.
I will go Dr. Fauci on you and state the science has not been tested on that yet. But I have no doubt what you stated is correct.
I'm not sure this is correct it's looking like this is just another of the misreporting going around about this.. I was reading a story on this (link below) and there is 1 big difference in reporting between the US and other countries. In Spain, Italy, S. Korea they report the stats on people 20-29, the CDC uses 20-44. Also, the article says that Spain has a 14% hospitalization rate for this group, They didn't report hospitalization for Italy and S. Korea. US has a 14.3 hospitalization for the 20-44 age group. At any rate, here's the link, its a good read. https://www.vox.com/2020/3/23/21190033/coronavirus-covid-19-deaths-by-age
Some much-needed comic relief through these dark times, this man in Italy insist on going out to get coffee. Wait for it.....................🤣🤣🤣https://t.co/F1ucwwR6bp— 🇺🇸 Pismo 🇺🇸 (@Pismo_B) March 23, 2020
I read some insane China conspiracy shit in here. Get a grip with reality, dudes. Didnot it occur in your mind that that socalled vaporizing deaths in fact were missed early warnings of the corona virus, as in flawed diagnosis by the medical world. The vaping hysteria pre run the discovery of the virus! https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/22/business/international/china-vaping-ban.html China’s Vaping Boom Alarms the Government For years, Chinese e-cigarette makers had free rein to operate without regard to consumer safety. But new rules are set to change that. A production line for RELX e-cigarettes in Shenzhen, China. Exporters once dominated the Chinese industry, but vaping is surging domestically.Credit...Gilles Sabrié for The New York Times By Sui-Lee Wee and Elsie Chen Nov. 22, 2019 https://www.cdc.gov/tobacco/basic_information/e-cigarettes/severe-lung-disease.html Some in here try to tell us that it's the Chinese gouvernment disposing of their pollutants by means of that. How insane is that? By poisoning their own population? As you can see the vape deaths preceed the discovery of the virus. I'm sure that the blame was put on the wrong actor and the virus was already killing people before the Chinese gouvernment finally listened to the scientists who pointed at a new virus. In Europe there were no vaping deaths at all, while the same stuff was used here. So are the conspiracy mongers going to sell China sent us in Europe the good stuff, but decided to kill their own people and the Yanks? Really? To that bloke with the polluting strategy of China, the USA authorities havenot found anything of your insane claims in the vapour ware. I leave this thread as it's clear some idiotic, even racist claims are being thrown around.
The vaping deaths in US/Canada were related to a product that certain companies, especially the weed demographic oriented market of the vaping industry, was using to fake higher quality vaping mixes. As in - they were adding a dangerous third party material to completely fine vaping mixes, to make them thicker, i.e. fake higher quality product i.e. charging more for said end product. I've stopped vaping altogether anyway, but it was morons making extra profits without asessing or ignoring the risks for the end consumer, not a political conspiracy.
Thinking it has anything to do with China is Alex Jones level conspiracy though. I have friends that vape and the contaminated shit is home brewed in America. People are getting sick because they’re vaping something a drug dealer mixed up in his garage, not because China wants to destroy the west.
Being proposed that no one is relegated this season, but two teams from Serie B are promoted, and we just have two extra teams next season. And then five teams are relegated to bring it back down to twenty the following season. Probably the best way to do it if the season is straight up canned. No idea how they handle UEFA spots.
I get the idea but, IMO, that would just tarnish 2 seasons, this season and next. End it here and now, where it is today are the final table standings. The last thing I want is to try to conclude the season in some half-ass manner then screw up next season by play 4 extra games.
There are many ways to catch up next year if we start late while finishing up this year. Such as ditching cup competitions for the year and playing a few extra midweek games. Games can be caught up very quickly. There is no need to make a quick decision on this at this moment. I agree that the idea of adding extra teams seems more confused than anything else.
Yea, that's fair. I also like the idea of maybe ditching the CI next year if we need to. What I really don't want to see is messing up next seasons; league, CL or EL to try and finish out this year. I'm not sure what they are going to do about the Euros. If they don't play those then I'd like to see some sort of friendly tournament. Don't make it too competitive because I don't want to see players get injured since they haven't played for months. Europeans really need something this summer, even if it isn't the Euros.
Euros has been decided for next year. Thats why finishing the league this summer can work. If they need to get it done before contracts are up then Gary Nevilles idea of a festival of football with days of back to back games is a fantastic idea to make a spectacle. Football brings people together and that would certainly be something after such a disaster. If Italy drop the cup next year and add the extra European spot to the league on top of a few extra midweek games scheduled its back in line.
Ah ok, I didn't know the already scrapped the Euros.. been out of the loop for a few months. I could not agree more, they need some kind of football this summer in Europe.
In law you cannot punish someone for a crime, unless it was commited when the law proclaiming it a crime was aleady active and enforceable. They cannot relegate more than 3 teams from Serie A this season, because this season has already been established as rules/laws. They also cannot promote less than 3 teams from Serie B for the same reason, it's water under the bridge, and doing anything different would mean instant lawsuit from the offended parties.
Drop 4, bring up 2. These are extraordinary times. Too many teams in Serie A and the lower clubs are going to be hit big financially.
Lower clubs are gonna be hit financially, so we should relegate 2 more and make it even worse for them. Great logic
So did the wanna be internet disinformation police theman with rosy colored blinders on really mean it when he said he'd leave? I'm going to put $100 on no. Those who think vaping does nothing to the lungs, nor weakens the immune system are living in some pretty wild comic books. All that indignation is really nothing but fear that that unicorns and puff the magic dragon may not really be real. Pulling out the conspiracy card in the end is the final strike. Whatever makes you fall asleep at night. My bet is that he's a vaper and is shit scared of the reality. Remember the good old days when the people were told this Yeah, probably not. There's really no harm in smoking, no really, they told me so. Time to wake up sunshine.
Operating costs for Serie A are much higher than Serie B. Yes, income is lower but unless the club has an owner with deep pockets to acquire players to be competitive in Serie A, it is a losing proposition. There are too many teams in Serie A under the current format.
Fair enough but that's a change that could only be fairly implemented in the rules for the following year if they were to change. You cant change them once started given legality. Wouldnt teams be able to sue the FA? I agree 18 teams is best for the league quality long term.
For those sides on the bottom, perhaps they would voluntarily take the drop after the problems of this season. I am just advocating dropping to 18. Whether it can be done, I have no idea. But it would help with the problem of the fixture list.
