Anyone that says Vela is the better player at the moment is completely delusional or a straight up idiot
What's more cringe is ESPNDeportes comparing Pulisic and Jimenez, saying both have made a name for themselves in the EPL. - Tom Marshall
Has Pulisic even played consistently at all? Dude had like 1 standout game against some shitty club and all of a sudden he’s made a name for himself He’s either gone end up in some lower level Euro club or the MLS within the next few years
Jimenez has similar statistics than what vela had at Sociedad. We will see if his form continues, in terms of current form Raul is way above Vela. Vela's MMLS goals record are probably worth half of what Raul is doing in the EPL.and Europa League. Hopefully Raul can make the jump to another big team and shut these MLS fanboys up.
"If you were to sign Messi or Cristiano, it still doesn't have that wide appeal that David Beckham had."@AlexiLalas looks back on the Beckham effect in @MLS ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/wUjgUWxSUz— FOX Soccer (@FOXSoccer) March 26, 2020
I kinda agree with him. He isn't saying Beckham is the better player or do better in MLS. However the league is much bigger and wide-spread now as I a Jessi or CR now isn't as big a deal compared to Beckham back then
How was this some great kind of moment? The MLS didn't transcend after or before him. Wide appeal=white appeal. Fcuk that.
That's false. The successful clubs, Torontos, Seattles, Atlantas, etc., exist in large part because they were born in the post Beckham era. Trying to deny that is just being intellectually disingenuous. White people are still the majority so, for better or worse, white appeal is wide appeal is transcendental.
I'll give you Toronto and Atlanta but Seattle along with Portland had a following wwayyyy before they were in MLS and definitely before Beckham.
Portland, yes. Which is why I didn't mention them. But the Sounders in USL were averaging like 4k. There was no reason to assume they were going to be such a huge success. In fact, many considered it surprising the league chose to expand there over St. Louis.
I don't get why my fellow bsmxs can't get the point of what lalas was trying to say. But again I don't get why you guys even care or don't just let go. Who cares...i don't, but what I want more is for my people to not be and sound ignorant
