That first contract expiry date refers to his loan. Scroll down past his market value graph to the Player Data section. His Anderlecht contract expires in 2021.
Gdansk is currently in 7th out of 16 teams, mid-table squad. Never won Polish Championship before. Also is the team that was coached by Peter Nowak a few years ago. Remember him?
Hopefully he does well there. He really needs to get back in the groove and maybe a change of scenery will do that. I know he was in Cincy but they were so bad that i don't think it would have helped.
That's my point. He's walking into a better situation with a mid-pack team rather than a first year expansion team in over their head. Even though Cincy had no fear of relegation, I'm sure there was some knee jerk coaching decisions and for someone that is trying to re-find his form it's not an ideal situation to find yourself in.
