(Ismitje leaves his house in Pullman WA one day for work in Moscow ID, is prevented from returning home.)
I put this everywhere else, so I might as well put it here. The World Health Organization has announced that dogs cannot contract Covid-19. Dogs previously held in quarantine can now be released. To be clear, WHO let the dogs out.— Dr Liam Hackett MBE (@DiageoLiam) March 12, 2020
I told you all for years Seattle, and the state of Washington in general, was the devil. Y’all didn’t believe me.
To answer a question up thread, the players will continue to train, according to Fleming and Balboa. Nice series of videos discussing the situation: Earlier today, @MLS announced that it too is suspending league play due to the coronavirus. @FlemingSport and @MarceloBalboa17 discuss. 1/3#Rapids96 https://t.co/ZGQasAegGJ— AltitudeTV (@AltitudeTV) March 12, 2020
Nope. Breaking: The PGA Tour announced it has canceled The Players Championship. pic.twitter.com/g1WgeycF5h— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) March 13, 2020
Not the way I imagined it but I'll take it! xD On that note, yesterday the US did a total of 8 tests....for the whole country. University of Washington can do 4,000 tests a day if the feds let them. At some point they need to just say "we're taking care of our own, we're testing."
That makes me wonder, how would they even enforce that? Like if you drove from Idaho would you encounter National Guard at the border? It's easier to seal off Western Washington than the whole state.
Im an idiot. I didnt even notice it lol also for completeness sake WWE is doing Smackdown from their training center tomorrow and All Elite is pulled off the road for the next couple of weeks and will do their wednesday show at their home office in Jacksonville.
Training moratorium for MLS until Monday: https://www.prosoccerusa.com/mls/mls-mandates-training-moratorium-until-monday-for-all-teams/
I'm surprised it's only monday. This must be a "buy a few days until we can figure out more about what the hell is going on" decision.
One of the McLaren crew members tested positive, so F1 had to cancel. They'll almost certainly cancel the races in Bahrain and Vietnam too. (And that's gotta be a disaster for the Vietnam organizers, having their first race cancelled. Hope it doesn't ruin their chances going forward.) As for the Aussies, cancelling it as people are standing in line waiting to get in is pretty uncool. Likely the correct decision, but the timing was just awful. Almost as bad as cancelling a basketball game at halftime.
Im not losing money. Im just not spending it someplace else. The amount of money businesses I interacted with occasionally might be significant to them. Not me. Thx, Jay!
