I believe Methusaleh* did, back when he was still in short pants. ;)

    * Son of Enoch father of Lamech and grandfather of Noah, he lived to the ripe old age of 969.

I wonder why no one names his kid Methusaleh anymore?

He must be one of the most expensive reserve squad players in 2.BuLI history.

But is Bobby Wood a good enough defender for DC United? Where have you gone Leonardo Pajoy?

One more year to go in his contract, and maybe back in the first division making the full $3 million.

Come on Bobby, stick to the money, even if they put your locker by the toilets!

That's assuming they can finish the season. The Italians have suspended theirs and are exploring the options, including playoffs to decide the key races. Knowing Bobby's luck, Hamburg would lose in the first round. :(

Even if? I'd assumed he'd long been in the dressing in a shared stall, and not the nice one that they keep clean. So Goff says it is DC. I assume Kamara took a knock and they wondered if having one injured striker was enough?
Seriously, best of luck to him. It would be great if he could reboot his career.

If it were me, I’d probably stick with the money and fight for a place at Hamburg. He might even get a better deal coming as a free transfer at 28 next year anyway.

I think it's safe to say at this point that he'd be a free transfer right now anyway. Hamburg haven't wanted him for a long time, but Bobby hangs in there because the money is great.

Overpaid Americans in Europe is a historic trend. Your grandfather might have qualified.

Well, he could get his retaliation in first and start coughing and sneezing all over them. :p

That'd do wonders to bring the negotiations on his payoff terms to a positive conclusion. Positive. Not amicable.
