Honestly, I have no problem with saving the city money on cost overruns. We have enough budget problems. And it seems that the club had already been willing to cede those points. The issue with Parcel 8C was just stupid and should not have been an issue as it was part of the original deal. The whole thing was just unnecessary. He may end up looking good to some, but not to the thousands of NSC supporters (we won't forget) and likely not to anyone who might be dealing with Metro government knowing that a deal might not mean a deal with this mayor.

So now that the preseason matches are complete, the BiG ended up with a 3-2-1 record (W-D-L, the way God intended it ordered), 2-1-1 against MLS competition. So not too shabby but with preseason friendlies you really can't tell how things will play out during the season. Hopefully Gary has figured out his best eleven with a good strategy to use with them and has built some team cohesion.

I suppose we will see next weekend.

How many, if any, are on the team from last summer?

MLS signees Daniel Rios and Derrick Jones were on the 2019 squad as well as Matt LaGrassa, Ken Tribbett, Taylor Washington and Alan Winn. Cameron Lancaster is being loaned out to Louisville for the 2020 season.

So I'm located in Salt Lake and have followed RSL since the beginning. Nashville is a bit of a 2nd home for us - we try to visit at least 2x per year. Of course, I followed the MLS bid from start to finish. We've always wanted to find a retirement spot there, but with prices through the roof in recent years it may not be in the cards.

For some reason, we chose to take a leap and buy season tickets in Nashville for this year. We'll likely only make 2-4 games this year (I guess we'll have to figure out what to do with the others). Hopefully we'll see you at a game soon!

And now they are reporting 50K+ tickets sold. Gonna be a big crowd on Saturday. Weather should be clear (which for season openers has not been the case over the past couple of seasons), if not a little on the cold side.

This place has light traffic. Is there another forum where NashSC fans are hanging out?

United 17s (AU fans) travel well and are very excited to have a rival close enough to drive to. The local sports talk radio station that is home to Atlanta United is hyping the game big time and sponsoring a party bus up to Nashville. Atlanta is soccer crazy and WE READY for the season opener. I imagine you will be making a lot of new soccer friends this Saturday. Have fun on the historic occasion and good luck! Cheers Nashville!

    HUP! ATLANTA, HUP!

Far too many in the crowd were Atlanta supporters, but Preds fans should be used to that sort of thing with the Blackhawks. At least they seemed better behaved than Blackhawks fans.
