Interesting that we wrap this up post window but well I’m advance of the summer. I wonder we look to do the same with any of our other targets.

I still think Willian re-signs with us for a year - maybe 2. His legwork can still be useful.

Pedro's contract will be up and he'll leave. That leaves Pulisic, Willian, and CHO as our wingers. We still need another.

The mix of Ziyech, Kante, Kova, Mount, and RLC in the middle is a bit tasty. If we retain Jorginho, that would be fine with me. Barkley can get lost.

What I took away from that was nothing to do with mount.

In other news, Chelsea's expensive fining system under new boss Frank Lampard has been revealed. .

Many of Chelsea's young players have been flourishing under Lampard, including the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Reece James and Fikayo Tomori.

Some of the fines range from £1,000 for being late to the gym and taking or making a phone call during a team meal.

One that catches the eye is £500 for every minute that a Chelsea player is late to a team meeting.

The most expensive fine on the list is a huge £20,000 fine for players who are late for training.

Others on the list include failing to turn up to community events as well as not travelling back on the team bus which are both £5000 respectively.

The fines are also doubled if Chelsea's players fail to pay the original sum within 14 days.

that came out around the same time as a lot of their winter break promo's, one of the videos has Kante kicking a ball out of the stands and then receiving it on the field, the whole "there are two kante's thing". and another where Kepa stops a shot by slamming it in to the post and holding it there.

but hey, it could be real i guess..

Hahahah dude that went straight over my head. I’m fried, it’s been a hell of a week and I had a 2 hour compliance meeting from 6am to 8am. I’ll chalk that up as an L on my part.

Atalanta are buying Pasalič this summer for €15m this summer. More money for Sancho, Dembele, and a LB. Take into account the Morata money (€55m) and wages off the books, we have upwards of €200m+ to potentially spend and I don't think that includes the Ziyech money nor the Hazard money.

The more we get closer, the more I actually think we land Sancho.

The Sancho question: It is largely down to one person and his demands, what the player is open to and whether or not Dortmund are willing to work on the price. If you look at the clubs as options, the player has made it clear a return to London and joining Chelsea would be his preferred choice, but they are not going to pay for the total package as it is costed right now. Manchester City are in a similar place financially as Chelsea - and don't see anywhere close to the value in the player. Liverpool would need to let go of Salah and commit a lot more money to make it viable - I can't see that is the plan and it would be disruptive and rather stupid if they went down that road. Real Madrid and Barcelona both have high end targets that will soak up significant funds and will be ready to go immediately they join - they are likely unimpressed by the risk associated with the potential benefits. As for Manchester United, they remain in turmoil with no direction and the player wants to move elsewhere - they could throw money at the problem but it would then mean they don't have the funds left to fix the more significant issues.

Dortmund may try and work the Euros and him excelling to try and leverage more from the English sides - but that would be a high-risk plan for all. Else he stays at Dortmund. There will be a further discussion with one of these sides in the coming days - so right now it remains up in the air.

Yes Blue, coming in with that positive energy

This team looks scary once it actually has any depth as well as a proper starter at LB.

If we can land an LB as you say, plus another striker to push Tammy or surpass him, another wide player (Sancho), and I think we need a midfielder to replace Jorginho. We need an all action mid that can do both. If we can get those we can compete with almost anyone.

I think replacing Jorginho with a more mobile mid makes this team much better. I think him and Kante’s presence in the starting XI create an imbalance.

I don't care who we need to move on - but sign Sancho.

I think both Willian and Pedro have to go. I know people are after Lamps but this goes back years. The squad makeup is poor. Willian does a lot of things well, scoring goals regularly is not one of those things. Pedro scores some great goals, but his best attribute is dribbling backwards into our third. Batshuayi is done (Giroud not starting is on Lamps though). But our midfield is poor in the final third. Our elder wingers are poor. Our backup strikers are poor. Rüdiger's positioning poor. VAR is poor. Anthony Taylor and die in a fire he's so poor.

I think we need to move on from Bats, Pedro, Willian, Zouma/Rudiger, Alonso, Emerson, maybe Rüdiger and that's probably good.

Caballero has a 50% save percentage so either they're both trash (he and Kepa) or it's everything in front of them. I don't think Kepa is the problem, it's our high line and our defenders.

i'll agree with the strong exception of Rudiger. he's our best CB.

and Willian i'd keep for depth, but i'm all in on getting a high profile replacement winger.

and i'd at least be considering a keeper. not a true necessity, but if someone better was available for decent money i'm in.

I don’t think Willian will accept being depth. He didn’t under Conte and I don’t think he will under Lamps.

I'm starting to question Rüdiger, both positionally and mentally. However, that's just my opinion.

I'm all for looking at different keeper options, but am leaning on Kepa not being the problem. The first goal Yanited score is harsh on AC as he just got back on the pitch and was getting into position when Bissaka got the ball.

I don't want anything to do with Willian and Pedro going forward. They don't provide enough. We've said this for years especially about Willian. Neither has really stepped when we needed them this year either. Willian has shown flashes, but that's always the case. Before people start throwing out CHO comparisons, one is 18 and the other is 30. I'm just done with the two of the (Willian & Pedro). We are inept in the final third and have been for 3 seasons now. Outside of individual brilliance from Hazard on occasion we would be languishing with Yanited. Our 3 best weapons offensively are 20 to 22 years old. Not the expensive veteran players that managers pinned for and built squads around to the actual detriment of the squad makeup.

there's a reason his style of play isn't sustainable.
