And they hold, barely. The most interesting players in Rennes are Raphinha and Tait/Bourigeaud (the wingers) today. Theoson didn't have much to do, they were mainly defending the last minutes. Rennes wins away 0-1 and remains 3rd in the league, after PSG & l'OM.

Siebatcheu's last goal(s) were scored on February 6, 2019 in a Coupe de France match against Lille.

    Not great.

I figured we would see him open up to playing for the United States once he got older and his France prospects dwindled.

The big question now is how will his career shape up and would he even be an impact player for the usmnt? It looks to be very much up in the air at this point.

He needs to start producing for Rennes.

the only thing that can help you get over not representing your country in the international game is representing a different country of yours in the international game

It's better than nothing. It should be noted Ligue 1 is not the Eredivisie, and beyond games involving PSG or Toulouse, games are kept to a couple of goals at most. The defenders are fast and keep things tight.

We knew this day would come. After Jordan finally realized he has no shot playing for France, the transition to the US has begun. I would have no problem welcoming him with his open arms. Even today he would probably be one of our top 4 strikers (along with Altidore, Sargent, and Morris). I'd take Theoson over Zardes, if not now, then soon.

Altidore is getting close to retirement age, Sargent has ways to go, Morris is having a hot streak but who knows how long it's going to last, and Zardes disappears when facing a decent defense.

Yes, I'd take him, but frankly I wouldn't expect much.

Like the Græae of Greek myth, those three witches who had a single eye and a single tooth they had to pass around, Siebatcheu, Wright and Novakovich so far have a single goal this season.

Guess they're happy with the 2-0 win.

Siebatcheu notches his first goal of the season. Hopefully this gets him back on track.

Finally!!! It's an amateur club from the Championnat National 2 (4th level), but it's something.

There are plenty of reasons not to call up Siebatcheu in March. For one, it might not be fair to him. If his confidence isn't in a good place, why would you then want to throw him into a team where he knows no one and barely anyone speaks French?

If you think Siebatcheu is good, why not call him up when he has the best chance to succeed and would have a chance to have a nice experience?

I don't think Siebatcheu is a total stud, but I think he's better than he is showing (not unlike CCV).

Hopefully he just needed a boost of confidence and this helps get him on track.

From all I've seen, I'd be ok with him choosing Cameroon, TBH.
