Kelman: "I’ve been penalty taker in every team I’ve played in apart from the 23s and the first team. I’ve never missed a penalty in my life so touch wood that carries on. But my heart did sink when I saw the keeper got a touch."— Chris Phillips (@CJPhillips1982) January 1, 2020

For someone that young, definitely odd. Especially given that he's an Anglo-American. Penalties aren't exactly either country's strong suit.
Here is hoping he can get out of Southend ASAP. This club is getting relegated and there is no way around it (9 points through 24 games). I'd hate to see him in League Two.
Revisiting this at the midterm; Kelman has 7 apps, 3 starts, and 2 goals in the league, along with a cup start with 2 goals, despite injuries taking their toll. He's heading towards a strong C with B potential. His contract expires summer 2021, but hopefully he was smart enough to include a relegation release clause. He definitely needs a move, and MLS teams should be kicking the tires there.
