Of the few reinforcements that have arrived on the transfer market since Matias arrived, all have been personally connected to him. Matias is both GM and coach at this point really.
Explain what connection Almeyda has to López and Judson? And how can Almeyda be the gm when he likely has little to do with the homegrown and draft picks? At the most that’s collaborative.

I referenced the transfer market specifically but maybe you’re right on those two and they weren’t known to, or discovered by, Matias specifically, so you might have a point there, I really can’t say.
If Nick is not preferred by the coach then Lopez needs to be given a full go at LB. He was 19 all season long last year so struggles were to be expected. But he has a lot of potential and should be given ample opportunities to develop.
I don't know about you, but I'm kind of liking the LigaMX feel (influx) of MLS 2020. Hopefully it continues, especially with greater collaboration (possible New league) happening in the mid-late 2020's. The MLS/LigaMX All Star game this summer is going to be off the HOOK!
I will be curious to see if he moves the attendance needle much. His last cap for El Tri was a while ago, and I don't know how much of a draw he'll be.
This could almost be a joke -- how many hispanic players and coaches will it take to really move the attendance needle? I'll bet an eager beaver could calculate sales performance metrics since Almeyda's signing if only the Quakes reported actual gate attendance and STH numbers.
Don't confuse the marketing dept shilling with Almeyda's statements. He never gushes about players. I remember for both Rios and Fierro he was like 'we'll see if they can come in and help us'.
Oswaldo Alanis was at the season ticket holder event today. Speaks a little English, but primarily Spanish, but was still evident (to this non-Spanish speaker) that he's a nice guy. He seems like a good fit for the team.
LIke I commented earlier on this, we have two former Chivas players and a former Chivas manager. That makes us Chivas Jr.? We also have two former River Plate players and a former River Plate manager. Are we River Plate Jr. as well? We have two former Vitesse players, (Vako/Kashia) so I guess we are Vitesse Jr. too.
I don't believe it until I see you guys belly flopping onto tables, or whatever that thing is you do at Bills tailgates.
