Shaq is starting in today's Copa del Rey vs. Real Valladolid. He looks to be playing on the right wing with Tenerife's regular starter at right back also in the lineup.

    Yes - definitely right wing.

Active first 30 minutes. Did have a disastrous turnover in the midfield that almost led to a Valladolid goal. Also had a header go just wide off of a corner.

Tenerife is playing a far too risky game against a team somewhat better than they are. Towards the end of the first half they've been boxed in their area, and a goal for Valladolid just seems a matter of time.

Moore is trying to help cover on the right, but the central midfield is lost.

Second half Tenerife playing a more conservative 4-1-4-1. Valladolid scores though, as expected. Sandro fooled the RB (Perez Maqueda) and scored. Moore not responsible.

Truth be told, Moore as an attacker has enthusiasm but little else. He's always a bit too late or a bit too open or a bit too badly positioned to control the pass or combine or shoot.

If as a defender he's just ok, as an attacker, after a couple of chances in the first half, he's been disappointing.

E.g.: 59'. nice ball to him, he has a lot of space to his left, but instead tries to catch the ball to the right and misses the pass completely, that goes by him. I'm afraid he's not doing enough to get out of the bench.

Joselú tied it, 1-1 with 20 left!

The thing about Moore is the stamina. He's covering as much ground now as he was in the first half. That's why he's still out there.

Tenerife earns a PK with 5 left and scores. 2-1.

Aaaand second division Tenerife bumps out La Liga's Real Valladolid in an upset.

Overall, while he missed chances to have more impact in the second half, but was ignored once when he was in a great position but his mate decided to shoot instead, Moore wasn't terrible and helped defend during the hardest period.

Still, he remains as a bench option for Segunda games.

This dude - with next to zero expectation of it - is living the life of a professional footballer in Tenrife. I'd say God bless him, but it'd be redundant.

(I also remember when a player at his level was a lock for the USMNT)

The bad news? He can't nail down a starting place.

The good news? He's the/first-choiceo o the first-choice subs for the defence or midfield.

Another bit of good news? That suggests he's progressing up the depth chart and that not a whole lot of improvement would see him getting starter PT

If they take out Bilbao in the R16 it's going to make the news.

Bilbao keeper gets the red and PK for Tenerife, Joselú scores. 1-0 to the second division team.

    ---

Shaq creating some danger on the right, but otherwise Bilbao controlling the game in spite of the man disadvantage.

Shaq's been a constant threat and has looked good, when I was looking. Unfortunately, work gets in the way at times.

First half ends 2-1 to Tenerife.

Oooh, looks like tenerife, with the man advantage from the 2nd minute, give up the 2nd half equalizer, go down to 10 themselves, in the 94th, go up through a 2nd pk in the 105th, concede the equalizer at 118 and fall to Bilbao 4-2 on pk’s, Shaq missing the 4th.
