The 27-year-old midfielder joins from Reno 1868 where he spent a season and a half following a switch from FC Cinncinati. Seymore played for Colchester United, Cambridge United, and Soham Town Rangers as a youngster having spent part of his childhood in England. With that last bit, I'm surprised we haven't discussed him before.
I feel like I let everyone down. In my defence, Oregon State considered him so English that they called him a "centreback." So that's my excuse. https://osubeavers.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/will-seymore/1717
Well, you think a gent with a UK passport would be more active in looking for something overseas. At least a rumor...
Ha. I thought you were suggesting that we missed him by not noting the American-born player at Soham Town!
A bit more on his background: https://www.thesun.ie/sport/footbal...er&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebarweb After all, Seymore spent years crossing from one side of the Atlantic to the other because his father is a member of the US Air Force. He told SunSport: “I was born in Colorado Springs but my mum is from Colchester . . . I’m kind of an Air Force brat. “I’ve lived on Air Force bases, I’ve gone to English schools, I’ve gone to American schools. “I lived in Colchester and my parents are currently in Cambridge.”
