Bayerns Odriozola press release is like they are talking about an entirely different player but I wish him well. Good kid I guess.
He has something they don't have though. He is a world cup winner. Oh, and multiple Ligue 1 winner. Seriously, whenever he is interview he sounds very mature for his age. Says the right things.
Cristiano made boastful comments throughout his entire career. I’m not going to be critical if the kid has that level of aspiration. He believes he’s capable of doing so, and I do as well
I don’t care if the transfer fee is 30 euros. Just get his wages off the books. I don’t really believe this rumour though
Anyone who thinks Mbappe is not going to make a hard push this summer for a transfer is out to lunch. Whether a transfer happens this summer or not is a different story, but his days in Paris are numbered. Any time a renewal is brought up, he dodges the subject. This isn’t some contract ploy either, he knows PSG will give him a blank cheque.
He's not though, he says he wants to follow in their footsteps. You seriously find issue with someone who says he wants to model his career after two of the best players ever to play? You want him to say I want to follow in the footsteps of Royston Drenthe?
Who's footsteps did Ronaldo follow though? Or Messi? I'm not saying he's arrogant for entertaining the comparisons, but usually players on the absolute top level like to carve their own path and you expect them to be Messi is Messi, Ronaldo is Ronaldo and I'm myself, but he seems to cultivate the comparisons and entertain them as often as they are brought up. I find that quite curious.
What standards did Ronaldo set as his goal? I can't remember Ronaldo mentioning a player and saying "I want to be like this guy". Obviously rmbs is eating it up because its Ronaldo. If he'd want to be like Messi or Iniesta it would be like "pfff, what a simp". He's an incredible player but it's all kind of weird.
Seriously? This is an odd thing to complain about. I mean on one hand you say the best need to be individuals and follow their own path.... then you admonish Mbappe for following his own path which according to you is different from the others in the past because it uses their previos paths as a light for his own. Is this really something to see negative?
I am not complaining, I am finding it pretty curious. I've also asked you which player Ronaldo followed and since you have no answer I'm assuming you either don't know or it isn't somebody else. People got a skin thin as hell with Mbappe but when they destroyed us in France dude was up in the luxury seats dancing around with Neymar celebrating.
This is false. Cristiano looked up to Figo, Rui Costa and Fernando Couto. He wanted to surprass Figo and the records of Eusebio. This is well documented. I'm sure as well that he used Raul and Di Stefano as personal references of players he wanted to surprass and he and messi used each other as motivation to reach the heights they achieved. Yet here you want to admonish this kid for finding his own motivation for reaching such heights. That is odd.
This is silly. For one I did respond to the Cristiano thing (can I get a minute to respond ffs?) and secondly he is a PSG player of course he would celebrate his team beating such a great club Was he suppose to cry? Mbappe has you all the way ate up. Will probably be mad when he finally signs for Madrid.
Gareth Bale's loudmouth agent has quickly come to kill the rumors of his departure. According to him Bale will see out the remainder of his contract. What an absolute host virus that guy has turned into. He's not that good anymore and acts like a bitch if he doesn't play... yet he digs his heels only because of money and doesn't wany to leave. The biggest mistake Florentino made after not replacing Makelele was not selling this leech when he made that declaration after the CL final.
What I appreciate from that Mbappe quote is not just the Cristiano vs Messi element of it, but also the implication that he is indeed willing to move clubs, as Cristiano did. You get the sense that he's not necessarily wedded to PSG.
I think he has realised that he won't get enough recognition scoring a ton in Ligue 1. No chance he will renew imo. Messi and Ronaldo have won all individual awards even without winning CL in some seasons while in Spain. He's already won the World Cup so now it's about CL and individual awards.
Rich coming from the guy who finds it odd young players aspire to be like superstars... and surprass them. Do you even have one?
I bet you can find interviews with Messi and Ronaldo talking about players they grew up watching or modeled their careers after.
Strawman bullshit. When Cristiano says: "At that level I was looking up to several players such as Rui Costa, Fernando Couto and Figo, thinking 'I want to play by their side.'" I'm sure he didn't mean he want to emulate his heroes at all. This is one of your worst takes and that says a lot because you have had some of the worst these past two years.
I think he always knew that but Nike holds a lot of power in those decisions. They really pushed for the Paris move. Plastered his hometown with Nike billboards the moment he signed for PSG. All coordinated. The "he didn't come because of Bale" thing is the biggest myth since "Ronaldinho was too ugly for Florentino".
