Another interesting young US player. Seems like one heck of a dribbler on the edge.

He should be pretty interesting to follow being at Celtic. They have a luxury in being able to give young players looks just because of how much better they are than their league competition.

I've heard Celtic are approaching Cam to negotiate a new professional contract.

He should bet on himself and ask the club for a few opportunities with the first team to gain trust before he signs on the dotted line. Otherwise they'd potentially table him for more proven players again after they got the commitment. Integration has been a slower process than expected, given how he's been performing.

That's alternative universe. The coach would laugh in your face if you had the gall/balls to ask that.

There's ways to have that conversation without sounding so demanding, though.

Sounds like a discussion between agent and general manager or club brass.

I find it kind of odd that transfermarkt does not keep track of the statistics for the Celtic Reserves Team... I can find youth squad stats for almost every player I look up... but nothing on Harper. As a matter of fact, I can't seem to find stats anywhere for him.

Harper's goal against HTAFC starts around 3:40 here (and gets a slo-mo replay):

It seems like they're moving him down in the pecking order the more that he's excelled.

What happened to this contemplation they were going to integrate toward the end of last season?

There should be less impediments for a top club in the Scottish League. They're secure against 80% of their opposition.

Gotta love the confidence of a young man who said that, at 13, he realized (due in part to his dad's feedback) that he wasn't "effective enough" at the 10 but who, nevertheless, still believes today that he "can play the 10."
