Not sure if I’d get into trouble for that, or if it would stop me getting my refund.

 

Usually Indonesia or China.
Ebay should do something about it and just write something in the feedback that you received fake shoes. I see many really good copies these days and usually they have the same box as well.

 

I’ve been sold a few copies over the years. None as good as this though.

What I don’t understand though, if they can make the boots so well and to such good standard, why the hell don’t they put the correct art number and country of manufacture? No one would ever know then, until they fall apart.

Hello guys. Does anybody use heel grips if you fee that your boots a little bit later? I mean such grips as here https://womenmotorist.com/best-heel-grips-for-shoes-too-big/. Or it is better to buy new ones? What can you recommend? I feel that one of my boots is like al little big bigger and I am afraid that I can get an injury.

 

Anyone every owned Puma Kings? (I'm talking the oldschool version not any of the recent modern updates).

I'm just wondering about sizing? Is it best to go true to size? Or half a size down?

ps - also, are the white stripes on the side leather or synthetic?

I've always assumed they were leather but I've seen one old review say they were synthetic.

I'm talking about the Puma King Top DI here.

 

I went true to size...I have had both the standard and Made In Italy Puma King Top DI. The standards seemed to fit slightly tighter than the M.I.I. I'm not sure if the form stripes are synthetic or maybe a highly processed leather (they have a leather grain finish). The form stripe material is a little sturdier than the upper material and not quite as flexible, but it's not bothersome after they are broken in.

Depending on the size you could make quite a lot off of them. At least $400 but probably more.

Hi guys, I live in a tropical country where it rains often, Singapore. I was wondering if it's logical to have a pair of Soft Ground boots in my arsenal for rainy days. The natural fields when battered by rain is pretty soft and muddy at times (people who lives in Singapore or neighbouring countries will know) but I'm not sure if they are soft enough to be using SG studs as I have asked a few mates of mine and they thought SG boots are absolutely not required. Thanks!

Hi!

I received my order today (13 days shipping time from date of order from Japan to Vancouver). Reading the opinions of other people in this forum really helped inform my order, so I'd like to share my first impressions.

I ordered the Mizuno Monarcida SW KL in size 26.5cm (8.5 US), a half size down from my usual size 9 US. I've worn Tiempo Legend IV at size 9.5 US, Diadora Brasil at 8.5 US (slightly tight, but 9 US is slightly too large), Puma Netfit 5.1 at 9 US, Nike Premier 1 at 9 US (toebox is too short and leather doesn't stretch so I can't wear it), and New Balance 442 (2e) at 9 US.
My exact foot length is about 26.5-26.6cm long, and about 11.2 cm wide at the widest portion of my foot (between the ball of my foot down lengthwise to my midfoot is all about 11cm to 11.2cm wide). I measured at nighttime, which is said to be when the foot is at its largest size.

I measured my foot length by putting a piece of paper with the edge square to a wall, and putting my heel against the wall and marking at the longest point at the toes with a fine point pen, so the measurement is fairly precise (particularly because I remeasured several times).

The length fit at size 26.5 cm (8.5 US) is PERFECT for me; there is about 3-4mm of space between the front of my toes and the absolute limit of the toebox, and I feel a slight compression from the fit out of the box that will clearly mould into a perfect fit as the KL leather stretches and shapes over time. I would like to send my appreciations to @dukduk whose stated measurements and information about his comfortable fits in various shoe models convinced me to order a half size down. It seems him and I have a very similar predicament with regards to having very wide feet!

The toebox is slightly higher than most models, and although I have larger toes that sometimes don't fit properly into other models of shoe (for example the Nike Premier 1, which I simply could not fit into because of the low toe height, even after trying for a long time), this shoe fits somewhat comfortably in this regard out of the box. I am certain that with time and wear the KL will stretch to the perfect fit. The toebox is not pointy, it is a bit wide and rounded, which suits me very well since I have Roman shape feet (big toe, second toe and third toe are all about the same length, with 4th and 5th toe decreasing in length), and so this shoe fits my toes very well.

The width is quite good. I am around a 5e-6e wide foot, so I think I could actually use a little bit more width, but this is probably the only model of soccer shoes I've tried where I don't have significant overspill on the soleplate. The width is close to perfect; I would prefer only perhaps 2-3mm more on each side of the sole plate for the perfect width fit on the sole plate for my particular feet.

The special extra wide layout of the studs are also the real deal, and the feeling of stability is noticeable. I have tried on the New Balance 442 (2E wide), and while the leather upper on that model fits wide feet well, the stud layout is actually not appropriate for wide feet; I recall the stud under the ball of the foot of the 442 (2e) being almost a half cm too far inside from the ball of my foot, so that there was a bit of pressure and rolling instability from that position of the foot.

With this Monarcida SW KL, the studs are positioned wider than normal and closer to the edges of the outsole and this really completes the special stability requirements of a wider foot. I am just walking around with them on at the moment and don't feel my feet rolling over the top of the studs like they tend to with almost all other soccer shoe models. The diamond shaped studs are not sharp and overly aggressive, they are actually almost oval in shape rather than true diamonds. I think these will be appropriate for AG fields. I would have liked slightly larger diameter, and circular studs, but these studs are ok.


The soleplate has two rivets on the front of the shoe, and one rivet at the back. The soleplate has decent flexibility.

The fit on the heel is very good and immediately comfortable. The inside of the heel is lined with suede from the back of the heel to around the midfoot. The suede is of unremarkable quality, but adds quality to the shoe nonetheless.

The insole is very grippy and locks the foot down when you've tied the laces up. The laces that come with the shoe are also of good quality.

The quality of the kangaroo leather is good; it is not the best I have felt, but definitely above average and well worthy of the cost of the shoe. I've read that Mizuno uses a more durable washable Kangaroo leather nowadays, so I am eager to see how this leather performs over time. The synthetic leather used for the midfoot to heel portion is very good and surprisingly soft and shapeable.

I think this is clearly the best model of soccer shoe to choose for anyone with super wide feet, and I recommend ordering a half size down for the perfect fit. I think I will be ordering more pairs of this shoe starting from now onwards; this is probably going to be the only model of shoe I will ever use as long as it continues to be produced.

I ordered with spsheart and Mr.Hashimoto there was awesome- he helped measure the insoles of various sizes to get the right size for me, and he sent me various pictures of the insole and his measurements.

I paid a price of 11,800 yen plus about 2,800 yen shipping; My total cost was about 165 CAD.

Hi,

I'd like to get some cleats with a heel to toe drop. Most soccer cleats have 0 heel to toe drop, while running shoes are 5 mm drop an up. A larger drop reduces stress on the Achilles tendon, which is why i want a cleat with a drop (achilles pain).

Anyone have recommendations (or at least recommendations for the type of cleat - football, something else?) ?

I understand asics cleats have a heel to toe drop, but they seem to be impossible to get in Canada.

Got stupid question. I used to have Adidas 15.1 FG/AG k-leather soccer cleats back in the days and now I realize they were the best I had... PLaying in Copa Mundial now and it's not that good. But the problem is they are discontinued...

Any ideas what would be the closest to those? Tried NB 442W but they didn't fit at all(

 

Sorry can't help you with your question - but just out of interest what size have you gone for in the Copa Mundial? The sizing is a bit messed up with them so most people go a full size down from their normal Adidas size (I normally wear 9US/8.5UK in Adidas and I need to wear 8US/7.5UK in the Copa)

 

I usualy wear 8US but my copa's are 7 US
