That thread is tragic. Once they realized they were going three and out they made it about having the hardest group. Once that was proven false they quietly moved on.
I am still in awe of these quotes from US Soccer. Those boys looked tip-top in the tunnel! At lunch over scrabble, nothing but aces from my boys, 6 letter triple word score. Nailed! I saw a 2 minute burpee set, outstanding! It is simply absurd. Absurd! 25minutes = millions of investment, perhaps two versions of Power Point, A year in the "search." After hundreds of qualified interviews (2) and thousands of applicants (2) and hundreds of man hours in tireless search for the best coach on the planet.. The best of the best of the best in physio and cardio and tech for treatment... and 25 effing effing minutes against a team that has beat the US nonstop for the last years. Mexico, a global also ran that gets spanked by any top 15 team, and 25 OK minutes against them and nothing but progress to see here! And we still lost! Not a good 3 game span. Not a proper series of friendlies, but 25 minutes!!! I am in awe of the fortress created around US Soccer. If Mexico is a also ran then aren’t the nads like the Solomon Islands?
Lulz this is what you call homerism. This spazzo is talking about a nad player I've never even heard of haha.
Andrew Carleton, a basic bitch / white supremacist / drug addict / complete hypejob who was maniacally pushed by the fans and outlets as the next (take your pick of which legend to place here) but who couldn't even make it into the Atlanta United main squad. Now that he's absolutely not panned out the rhetoric has switched to he was done dirty by the club, wasted potential, etc etc.
Well there is a new mega spazzo that I didn't know about. I love how he keeps talking about a "higher ceiling" like his mediocre ass would recognize that. Higher ceiling equals "spazzo hype".
This is what happens when the only insight US fans have of Mexican football is through Tom Marshall. Can't blame spazzos when the majority of the English based Mexican coverage are from people who assume the worst for Mexico while assuming the best for US soccer.
Well said. It's the same reason why they're surprised by unknown (to them) players like Pizarro, Charly Rodriguez or Jorge Sanchez outplaying the players they've hyped up as the next great thing.
They've been talking about this mythical higher ceiling for 20 years now. They're flat out wrong. You could make a solid argument that Mexico has the higher ceiling, being the most popular team of 2 nations. Potential is limitless. And you can't win the Hex, we've been telling these morons this for years. There is no extra benefit to finishing first, you don't get a trophy, or bye, or home field advantage or anything. Might as well save that to pass it along to @oldtakesexposed. He'd love to see the shit that we put up with.
The same Pulisic that’s currently riding pine at Chelsea and has yet to show up on the NT when facing a legit nation? Hang on, dude didn’t even show up against T&T in a do or die match that resulted in the Nads missing the WC
for over two seasons and while playing down the entire right wing as a wingback, winger and fullback.
People criticize Pulisic but at least he has talent. That Weston dude is overrated AF. And now Tyler Adams is more talented than Herrera and Jimenez. GTFO
Both Adams and Weston are serviceable defensive players but they are certainly not the world beaters the US fans make them out to be. They are pretty much younger updated versions of Yedlin.
