Obviously you have nothing to write to home about either.

I only caught bits and pieces of the match as I had some other things to do around the house. I did think the MF looked much better than in past matches I've watched. Passing and positioning was better.

    LOL.
Rugani never plays. Never gets a chance.
Berna was played out of position all year, and is now benched for his troubles.

And no one else on the team has looked like "shit all season". Every win is an aesthetically pleasing masterclass of football for Juve.

You act as if Rugani hasn't had his chance. It's not as if it's his first season at Juve. He has had plenty of chances and has looked mediocre at best. He couldn't even win a regular spot with Sarri who is the manager under whom he played his best football at Empoli.

In the handful of chances that Demiral had before he got hurt, he looked far better. De Ligt is also clearly better. I'm not sure what you expect Sarri (or even would have expected Allegri) to do.

Again, it's not Sarri's job to make a formation that suits Bernardeschi, who is at best our 5th best attacking option. Bernardeschi's chance was to make that trequartista position his. He had multiple chances and was shit almost every time he was played there. I would cut him some slack given that it's not his favored role; that said, Sarri doesn't have to play a 4-3-3 just because it suits a player that at this point is only on the fringes. (By the way, Sarri tried that earlier in the season and Bernardeschi was average there as well).

As far as the other players, Ronaldo has been stellar the last couple months. Pipita and Dybala have been superb. Costa has looked good when he has played. Even Ramsey has looked better than Bernardeschi in the trequartista role. There is literally no justification for sitting any of the guys I just mentioned to accommodate Bernardeschi who hasn't done well.

In defense, Bonucci has arguably been our best player all season. Demiral was superb before he got hurt--and you're not going to sit De Ligt for Rugani. When Chiello comes back Rugani will move further down the pecking order.

I don't get your argument with those two.

I have to agree, and I am a big fan of Juve at least having some Italian representation. I thought that Inter's zero Italians team was just dumb

As am I. I am a huge supporter of the Italian National Team. However, this idea that Juve (or any other club) should play Italians for the sake of it is silly if Juve are trying to aim to be the best club in the world. It's one thing if you're talking about a Baggio, Del Piero, Maldini, Baresi, Pirlo, etc. However arguments that are being made for the likes of Bernardeschi, Rugani or De Sciglio don't fly.

The encouraging thing is that there are a number of youngsters coming up that will be at that level. I would love for Juve to get Tonali or Chiesa. I would have liked for them to make a play for Barella or Sensi. These are just some of a crop of what could (finally again) be a nice generation of players for the national side.

Is it whine or being realistic? We have succeeded on talent. Talent that is being held back because of a system from a stubborn coach who has won little. In fact, Chelsea fans will say they won last season despite his system. There was a lot of complaining about Allegri last season. Here we are at the halfway point and the team is still adjusting to tactics.

Juventus are close to being in FFP trouble due to their payroll being above the threshold required (at 71% of total revenue, should be below 70%) That's the real reason why there was a 300m capital increase. Juventus has been running at a loss and will apparently continue running at loss for this 19/20 season as well

I think our individual opinions on what constitutes realism on this subject will never converge. My measure is very unsophisticated, you either win or lose at the end of the day. I step back and look at the whole picture rather than scrutinizing each brush stroke to detect a flaw. The big picture I see is top of the table in Serie A and round of 16 in the CL

Where did I complain about winning? I only acknowledged that we won due to a mistake & a penalty. Today, the team played with freedom. It was worth writing home about.

Matuidi is getting worse and worse, he is way past his prime and is very slow and has been horrible all season.
It’s time we bring in someone else, at this point anyone else would be an upgrade at this position

This midfield is not going to cut it in the next stage in the champions league.

lol the team is being held back and the squad is still adjusting to tactics but we’re right where we were last season atop the league (and have actually fared better in Champions League thus far).

Inter drops points against Lecce. 1-1.

We need to get in there and get a W.

I am more worried about Lazio than Inter at this point.

I saw their goals again and Lazio is on fire. I can't believe ow good they are. Not sure if they will catch Juve but I see them surpassing Inter.

I think any other team and that foul on Ronaldo is a penalty. The ref was looking right at them as well, he was clearly fouled in the box.

Im guessing Sandro has to use the toilet, similar to Evra a few years ago.

Why is Pjanic still the man running the midfield? He's been subpar for a while now. The midfield is offering nothing attacking wise. Rabiot has been pretty sloppy today.

Really wish Sarri stuck with the midfield played during midweek.

Ronaldo makes it 1-0 in an otherwise pretty uneventful first half.
