2nd striker hmmmm With Rodrygo and Vinicius, and even potential signing of Mbappe in 2-3 years time? Hmmmmm
Vinicius is most effective as a left winger though. I reckon Reinier can play at the top of midfield in 4-4-2 like Isco. Rodrygo has good finishing skills, but he has good ability on the ball too which he needs to show more consistently. He has been passive in general build up.
But seriously, Perez so afraid to not to get another Neymar, suddnely he is trying to get all brazilian kids.
I think he's well aware that none of these kids have the natural talent of Neymar. He stood out for his talent as a teenager like Messi did. Vinicius, Rodrygo and Reinier are top talents from Brazil. What Florentino realises is that all three are bargain buys in a market where 28 year old Sigurosson went to Everton for 50 ME and Coutinho cost Barca 140 ME plus 20 variables. Even RDT who was not a top tier talent gave us 20 ME due to successful loan spell. Had barely played for senior team. Cream will rise to the top at RM.
I meant it seems that we setting ourselves for a 4-3-3 system and now we sign a player whose be position is a second striker.
A "talent" at a european club with a season of Europa League football can cost up to over 100 mil. It's a matter of cost/value.
I said all if this when he was first announced, even the part about him not being good as a wide attacker. Only way we are investing in him is to develop him as a CF not as a CAM, wide attacker, etc.
I have a lot of his vs videos since the rumors about us signing him intensified, he seems to lose the ball a lot but certainly has a knack for finish well and is intelligent.
Florentino, ironic answer: "I don't know who Pogba is" Florentino Pérez spoke after the match with the media that covered the Super Cup final. When it was Riyadiya tv's turn, Real Madrid president once again praised his staff, but ironically avoided the last question they asked him. Hearing Pogba's name, Florentino came out with a "I don't know who Pogba is." https://amp.marca.com/futbol/real-m...601d0f338b4593.html?__twitter_impression=true

Valverde does well in that position but then another problem is created by moving him there, which is who plays his current role? we have no one who does it as well.
I think he did fine there away at Valencia before the Clasico, a very tough fixture. I’m sure he can handle some home games against weaker competition to rotate Casemiro. Valid point. However, I think it is manageable. We have 6 midfielders all with substantively different characteristics. Any injury would produce less than ideal circumstances, but I think we could handle it.
Telegraf is reporting that VdB deal is a certainty in the summer; United apparently tried to make a move in the winter and were told it was already done.

ex-Monaco VP, Vasilyev: "Mbappe will generate the biggest transfer in history. A big club will have to be prepared to put at least €300m on the table. The amount may seem incredible, but we must not only think about what he'll bring to the field, but also in commercial terms."
