We have RB options for once on the national team Yedlin, Cannon, Dest. I think Araujo starts for the U23 team. Hopefully they can advance to the Olympics ... They have Mexico and Costa Rica in their group.. I think Araujo can take the starting roll from Feltscher this season
I think that Greg is going to use Dest at LB. Araujo still has the option of playing for either Mexico or the US. Greg showing him some early love is a smart move.

Giancarlo "Pipa" Gonzalez played for Costa Rica today. I really couldn't distinguish him on the feed I was watching, but Dunseth was bagging on him towards the end, said Walter Zimmerman was abusing him on corner kicks. FWIW. Hopes aren't high for his second season, are they?
Such a bizarre headline. I mean both Zardes and Arriola are Galaxy products too. But they’re not in the photo. I’d love to see Llanez return on loan, but it might be too soon for that.
I literally fell asleep watching the game. I know it's camp cupcake, but a 1-0 win at home via a penalty isn't great especially considering the side Costa Rica fielded was pretty awful.
I did like the possession we had, and unlike in previous games we actually looked like we had a clue what to do with the ball.
Let's check up on our former USMNT players and see how they are holding up during the crisis (be sure to turn sound on): 1240400399527546880 is not a valid tweet id
We are surprisingly deep at outside back these days, so Araujo may be thinking he has a better shot with Mexico.
https://www.si.com/soccer/2020/09/0...-fame-voting-bocanegra-solo-cherundolo-moreno Congratulations to Carlos Bocanegra! But the omissions of Cherundolo, Solo and Moreno are head scratching. Agree with the author. Who are the people that haven't put them on their ballots? I get that Solo isn't the most well liked, but still.
Eh I am not sure. Only really Dest has that right back spot on lock, but after that Yedlin and Cannon are probably fighting for the #2 spot. I could see Araujo surprising them. Also Dest can play left back too which helps USA's cause.
Agreed. Araujo isn’t too far off of cannon and is only 18/19 in his 2nd year as a pro. Give him another season or two and it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Araujo as 2nd choice RB for the USMNT.
